On several of the M37s I have seen, the paperclips were made out of bent rebar... there is no correct way to do it. The Marines are scroungers. Especially when it came to modifying their vehicles to work better.
RE: Sunday...
I'll be there next year for sure. You gotta watch it around that Gama Goat, as soon as you ride/ drive in it, you will want one like no other...
Well... I was out of town this whole weekend, and the SHTF, putting me way behind in my daily duties. So, I am afraid I will not make it to this year's rally.Instead, I will be trying desperately to catch up. Hopefully next year the timing will work out better.

Warning: You say you don't intend to do a full resto job on her. Like you said, if you'd been asked about owning an M37 a year ago...

Re: RE: LONG & SLOW! VA to Ft Drum, NY & Back
Look forward to it! No hills between Fl and GA quite like in PA/NY. If there are any hills.
Nice trip, seems like you've earned your stripes. Now that you know, you don't have to do it again.
Saw an M37 with Dana 60s and a Cummins 6BTA (I'm pretty sure, apparently a rare engine used in boxtrucks, like UPS trucks)... didn't seem to have any trouble stuffing it in there.
If I just plan on camping out at the group campsite, do I need to call the Durhamtown folks and make a reservation? Especially since I'll be getting in 0000 Saturday morning or so...
