I lived in Columbus for 5 years from 04-08, I had the the oppisate impression, heck they even have a express lane at the tag office for the military. I never had any problem with Columbus, GA, in fact I still own property there. I have also spoken with Steel Soldiers member Papabear and he has...
They do pull stuff sometimes prior to the auction starting, heck I had it happen to me on a live auction I was winning! I have heard from the GL site manager near me that on very occasions that a auction can be reversed/pulled after it has ended.

Of course, But I'm sure you will overcome, perhaps it means M37's, Jeeps, and CUCV's are in your future? Maybe you need to move outside the city limit? I think it is horrible you had to sell them off like that. Who knows maybe the local VFW will let you park your M35A2 in their lot?
Best of...
Just keep in mind with the M1009 if you want to run HMMWV tires you will have to get new wheels like Rock Crawlers or similar. There are threads about this that can give you more information. With a M1008 the studs match up so that is not needed.
I had a 6" lift with HMMWV tires for my daily drive, it was fine but I did not care for the narrow portions of I-185 going into FT Benning (lots of construction) you could not see the barriers so well. I recommend staying stock or 4" or less, unless your primarily going off-road. Here was my...
I received your PM Dave, wow, that really bites......I would relocate them as you said but I can't help but feel you can still fight the issue after the fact without having to spend money you don't have on legal fees. Methods include but are not limited to writing your elected goverment...
ORD 98-810
refers to truck routes but it has a non-business exception:
Section 4. Under this ordinance a, commercial vehicle shall include any self-propelled
or towed vehicle wmch alone or in combination possessed dual rear wheels or more than two axles, except that is shall not include any...
Knowledge is power. You need to know exactly what ordinace you are alledgely in violation of. I am searching through the City of Huntsville Municiple codes right now and I am not seeing anything that even mentions MV's or wieght limits. We need more information please.
Try: City of...
If you have what is left of the old belt take it in to the shop and have them match the belt right there at the counter, in my case there was enough left of the part number stamped on the belt for them to cross reference. I bet Westech or Doghead probably have a long list acceptable part...
This is really odd.....
The guy answered a couple of e-mails but he avoided very pointed questions about where they came from ie : GL,GSA, private sale etc.... I asked about the SF-97 and again not answered as if I did not ask the question. He did say that they did not have to be moved right...
Ok I don't wanna break any rules or remotely be involved in collusion but I would like some information from any of you M1031 Contact Truck owners out there. I guess I should mention my reason for asking is that I am thinking of buying one.
So here goes in order to make an educated decision...
City Conection:
Why not use a title service route? It can't be any more trouble than all the EUC/SF-97 process. If you still don't want to do it let us know the point of contact for this truck ok?
Thanks,
Dale
I would not do it, I would just buy a M1008 off of auction. The M1031's are just cool to have, besides they are great trail vehicles for convoy's/rallys.....well besides having a wrecker that is.
I have a M1008 now but looking to add a M1031 to my collection.

No worries, you never know without asking. Being in the UAV field it never occurred to me that it stood for anything else besides Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. I was with the 173rd ABN as a infantryman when we jumped into Northern Iraq in 2003 so I picked "ABN173"
It's a rank structure based on post count, there is a couple of threads about it. Browse around the site and use the search feature, there is a wealth of information on this site!
PM Westech or Doghead they will probably know more than I do, as I am still learning myself.
But having gotten that out of the way sounds like you have a #2 alternator issue it may need a replacement. Mine does that just after start but goes away shortly after warm-up or if I rev it up some.
