go further than just under the dash and remove all of it. I don't know if there are any airbrake cap fittings. they are different from std fittings of the same size.
ya. 10k load in the bed or on a pintle. my flatbed weights 18k empty so that combined with the deuce brakes being marginal when in 100% working condition it sounds to me like a idea best left to the drawing board.
I do like a deuce tractor but their usefulness is so limited it's almost...
yes, both eng and head must have a super smooth surface. fwiw I have used cometics without getting the proper finish and it's worked great. but it's not the recommended procedure.
well maybe something is going on bc my euc for sale 5025 finally was sent to BC. I''ve had them get turned around from submission to approval in less than a week. I've had dozens of them go thru. but now with this sale it seems like it's my first time again. I dunno but it's just silly.
I bet they are the same 6.5-6.2 the cometic takes a really really smooth surface(think glass), usually much more smooth than a std head gasket surfacing usually gives.
I kept the rpm's the same and used the higher speed so my mileage didn't change. it's not going to be much if any better bc with the larger tires your going to use more throttle to keep the same speed bc it takes more torque to keep the big rubber moving.
ya thats why the installation of an airshift switch like the deuce's have is pretty useful on the 5T trucks (there is a very hard to find MWO for it). you can have it only when you want it. saves possible damage on the sprag too when you forget to put it in R when rolling backwards.
the truck has auto resetting breakers. so if the trip you can cut power and the come back in about 15 seconds or less.
have you tried to manually open the fuel cutoff with the thumb screw and then use a jumper wire to turn over the starter?
I would say if you charged it then threten the shop that you will do a chargeback for the whole amount and worry about settling it later. or they can make it right.
you don't have any place where I could back the trailer into a ditch or culvert or anything like that. don't know of any by the side of the road anywhere close? I know one must be trailered. how about the other?
how would this help anything? the 400 is completely free of any wires or electronics so how would this help?
I'd say you could do more diagnosis but it's sounding like it's going to need some work. the 400 is pretty tough so it could be your torque converter but I doubt it.
do you hear any...
worn king pins means custom bushings to fit or a new housing. you should remove the tires and check the bushing play by hand and with a bar to see if that is where it's moving. if so and it's with new bushings then you have a big problem.
the bushings have no shims they are press fit into...
