Actually DH, you were more correct. Oprah was born in MS raised in TN by her "father" then went to Chicago. Springer was born overseas, moved to NY then OH. (I searched for the info, not really a fan of either)

The problem with posts like this is that someone with no mechanical ability that reads this stuff will try to "heat" the bed to remove the upright like you all said to do. Please when you give advise, give good tips or don't at all!aua
Blems are the way to go. If you put in 3 sets of batteries, i'd bet that batteries aren't the problem. My truck suddenly did the same thing in May-was starter relay.
If the engine has a Reo data plate it's a gasser. The rims should be different if origional 1100's; however, they could be mounted on standard rims and not the M34/M135 rims also. Hard to say what's been done over 60+ years without some pictures.
I had to do this with 3 stakes. With a 3/8 inch 12" long bit it took probably 35 minutes total. It's very simple and only takes about 10 minutes a hole.
Remember in addition to the air cleaner mushroom opening that you need to block off to kill the motor, there is a small fording tube opening on the back side of the air cleaner that needs to be blocked also to kill the motor.
