towing a Deuce with a 1 ton or 3/4 ton pickup

RE: towing a duece with a 1 ton or 3/4 ton pickup I would strongly advise against it. Drive the deuce, tow your pickup (or something else) behind it for a 'backup' vehicle if you are worried about it. Also, see the FAQ's on the left, and add your location please...

Can i ask for a BIG favor.....

RE: wearther The issue is the 'pre-chamber' setup that the 6.2's use. I would suspect on a 90° day in the direct sun, glow plugs would not be needed... but on maybe a 75° overcast day, they probably would. Just not quite enough temperature soaked into the engine. I have been amazed at the...

Can i ask for a BIG favor.....

RE: cranks Rich, we are talking CUCV here... Wayne, no, the 6.2 will need the glow plugs unless the engine temp is above roughly 100° F Mike, in reference to your first post, it was quite cyrptic. You were asking us for help, but not really saying what the problem was. We need specific...

Need points kit for a 4AO84 in a 10k Genset.

The TM tells you how to time the engine.. its actually pretty easy. As far as your inductive light... what i have done, is take a section of civvy spark plug wire (copper core), and made an extension for the stock military wire. It gives you something to clamp around.

Reverse engineering the Chem Shelter Trailer

not a boat anchor at all.... if it is indeed the one I think it is, you can use it as an air compressor.... :-) That is what alot of guys use for onboard air on their trucks.

Reverse engineering the Chem Shelter Trailer

Kenny is right, thats a 4A084 engine... Interseting the AC compressor is the same as a mid 80's chevy truck HD compressor

    Frame chopping

The 1028 frame is the same as a civvy 1 ton frame, and once you have the short wheelbase of a 1009, I dont think you really want that 'strong' of a frame.

    Frame chopping

You would be better off putting a K5 body on it. But... honestly, instead of chopping up that truck, why not locate an M1009 and put better axles in it and such? It would be alot less work, time and $$ most likely.

    M1028 checking in

I think Mike has 12v gear starters at www.odiron.com If not, he can get them.
