I would strongly advise against it. Drive the deuce, tow your pickup (or something else) behind it for a 'backup' vehicle if you are worried about it.

The TM tells you how to time the engine.. its actually pretty easy.
As far as your inductive light... what i have done, is take a section of civvy spark plug wire (copper core), and made an extension for the stock military wire. It gives you something to clamp around.
not a boat anchor at all.... if it is indeed the one I think it is, you can use it as an air compressor.... :-) That is what alot of guys use for onboard air on their trucks.
The 1028 frame is the same as a civvy 1 ton frame, and once you have the short wheelbase of a 1009, I dont think you really want that 'strong' of a frame.
You would be better off putting a K5 body on it. But... honestly, instead of chopping up that truck, why not locate an M1009 and put better axles in it and such? It would be alot less work, time and $$ most likely.
