Salafrae you are at the wrong end of the state. It snowed here today in North Georgia, about an inch where I live, but melted away by afternoon. My Deuce has a sick transmission, so I was only able to drive a short distance through the snow. I was afraid the trans would lock up. The trans...
I can normally view videos on other sites without difficulty. For instance, I can go to the videos BIGCASE posted on the Florida SS site and view them fine.
I can not view any videos posted on SS. Everything else works fine with the site. Is there a certain player that I need installed on my PC? I searched the forums and could not find any help.
I recently picked up a MEP-003A GenSet from GL mounted on a M116A2 trailer. I picked it up at Fort Jackson. It was in extremely good condition and fired right up. The trailer even had two new tires and a new cover.
I found a new square-D 400 amp 4-pole manual transfer switch on e-bay for...
I received the new rear engine seal and it looks quite large to me. I haven't pulled the transmission yet, so I don't know how large the seal should be. The new one I received is 6 inches O.D. and 4-7/8 inches I.D., approximately. Does this sound right?
What came on the floor of the A2? From what I remember from my days in the Army, the floors were plain OD paint. I've seen some since that appear to have some type of textured paint or sand added to the paint.
After losing 5th gear in my Deuce, I'm replacing my transmissiion with a T/O unit., a Wolverhampton transmission I picked up from TWRIGHT. I decided to go ahead and replace the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing at the same time. The question I have is should I go ahead and replace the...
I looked at the cover on my M116A2, which appears to be nearly new. I picked up the GenSet a couple of months ago. The data on my cover is:
Cover, Fitted, Vehicular Body
MFG. CAGE 3S151
SP0750-96-D-7443
NSN 2540-00-926-0993
I picked up another transmission to day from TWright in Rockmart, Ga. I plan to swap it out sometime next week. I will probably try to rebuild the old one and keep it as a spare.
Bad news. Yesterday, I thought I didn't see any damage in the transmission. Today, when I can see better, one of the gears is damaged. I am definitely looking for another transmission now. I was hoping Elkhunter was right, but my luck never runs that way. Thanks everyone for your help.
I'm trying to decide whether to try to rebuild the transmission myself, pay someone else to rebuild it or simply replace it with another one and hope it is a good one. Does anyone know anyone that rebuilds Deuce transmissions? I rebuilt a transmission from a Triumph TR3 once in the mid...
