Evergreen Helicopters were based out of McMinville, OR. (my former employer) The aft engine cowl is off an old Evergreen Huey, given the green and white strip paint scheme. Looks like someone was trying to piece one together.
First you are going to need to find a vehicle the same size or larger. Another 5 ton will do. Then get the operators manual for the M939 series trucks. There is a section on towing & recovery of these vehicles. There are several options/configurations that can be managed, it all depends on the...
I'm old school too, just as important as parts for the vehicles I own, are the paper manuals. Several great sources on the web have original or reproductions of TMs for these trucks. As Steve states , I read them like a good book when time is available.
Oh man, I'm sorry. I wish I were in Denver. I would yank it home for you and with a couple of SS brothers we would pull it out of there. You may have to contract this work out.
Not bad on a clean bench with the correct manual and all the little seals/gaskets and consumable parts. I would take it to the local Diesel Injection service and exchange it. Your unit will need all the little stuff that is old/baked hard and can't be reused. Pretty common pump at the shop level.
May have a check valve in the return system, 250 Cummins are equipped with one. Start running some Diesel Kleen in the fuel. The stuff works well on these fuel systems.
Take some good pictures, read the manual, bag and tag the hardware and fitting, you got a big truck you need to be a big truck mechanic.
Get it back together and you have accomplished something.
I have a 22KW Generac unit and 200 amp transfer switch wired to the house. What color is your transfer switch? Yellow (older) Gray (newer). Ive had both.
Pretty easy to hook up. Ziller Electric in Michigan are great folks (big Generac dealer) Generac.com has all the schematics by model #...
I have had several strainer assemblies that were installed with joint/pipe compound to ensure an air tight seal, a little heat from a propane torch will soften it up. I said a little heat.. keep the filler cap installed and get it real warm, not cherry red. If the paint is bubbling off and...
Funny thing is I cannot drive a manual. That being said, my roommate does and I'm usually a quick learner so I'm not worried. That's why the 900 series interested me so much.
But the size difference does seem to be significant. And although you look like more of a badass in the 900 series, I...
Sure it (A3) would have. I fired my A3 up at WPAFB, drove it up a 32 ft trailer, with a flat, and drove it 130 miles home. Pulled it in the shop and immediately pulled the wheels and serviced/greased the $600 bearings to ensure I would not have to replace them. Maintenance is the key factor to...
