Honestly, I understand where Aervoe is coming from on this... Its tough to take something back as the Manufacturer, when it was purchased from a reseller...

JR, how about some pics of the packaging the lights came in? Or the details of Brand, Model, Store, and such? Most the 'Walmart' type LEDs dont list dual voltage... so it would be nice to know where to get a known working set. Also report back after you have some 'time' on them too.

The nice thing about the 'watched topics' is, normally anything you post in, gets put there (you can 'unwatch' later) and when you are watching something, you get emails when a new post is made on that topic. Very useful! This was a feature I added quietly almost 6 months ago...

Making one, wouldn't be too hard. I think its more a matter of liability and such once its made. Will it have the same strength as the cast ones, etc.
This brings up an interesting question, as I am not able to test the theory (but think I know the answer...)
On the CUCV's, the horn is wired through the blackout circuit. Such that when you are in blackout mode, you cant accidentally hit the horn. The deuce isnt setup in this manner is it?

Do some searching on the forums, you will find all the info you need. The 1008 is basically a Chevy 1 ton diesel pickup. The majority of what you need can be had just about anywhere.
