Did you buy that wrecker yet? It has some hard to find goodies on it; bumper vise, mud spades, pulleys.
Soft top cab should be easy to source and repair. Save that thing.

You need to have soldier B drive the truck and get in the bed to source that rattle, it sure sounds like the davit trolly/spare chain. I know you have eliminated that. I had the same sound, however it was a small piece of chain wrapped around the spare and dangling against the frame support.
Thats not bad at all, plus the truck has a/c. You need to look that unit over real good. It maybe a USMC truck and you'll have some neat extras.
Need to put the spin on engine oil filter adapter on it. I have them listed in the classified. Find the leak (hole), any good radiator shop can fix...
We have a large black snake (Rat Snake) that lives in a rock pile near the garage. He makes a point to do a loop through the open garage door all summer and around the house. It gets it's fill of mice and chipmunks. Found him at the mailbox last summer w/ a young squirrel half way down. In...
I did the same, my '97 M35A3 was an original "85 A2. Now it is a '85 A3. Look for the original registration number on the truck, I think I found mine on the inside of the glove box and drivers door.
Good looking truck, they all need something fixed, some more than others. Slow down and go through the vehicle, you'll find it probably need something else addressed. Jumping in and off is a recipe for bad things to happen.
My thoughts exactly. Penty of 24 v. sources up under the boom. Just need to drill and tap that end fitting. Note to self, " Add to project list for m936".
By the way I finally brought the M936 home Sat. night after the MVPA convention. Drove it home in the dark with anther bud following in a...
A heavy one, seriously, it was the M936 boom reel winch in repaired condition, 405 lbs. Freight Quote broker got a driver back in there early Fri A.M. It supposedly was loaded with the other lots. Waiting for delivery to confirm. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I just took delivery of a "87 Air Force truck out of Warner Robbins, I'll have to check it also. Definitely some type of support bracket. First to identify it wins the prize.
[And its nice to finally get to meet a lot of folks I have only known through SS these many years, as well as seeing folks met in the past again.
Heck of a good time so far.
Same for me. I got to meet a bunch of Steel Soldiers but now I realize I missed meeting a bunch more. I spent a lot of...
I have, had a wheel crack out and depart a couple months ago in OH, wasn't maxed on weight, just speed. Just got 4 new tire/wheel assemblies for it. Bearing will be inspect and packed.
