I returned my (smaller) napa 2837 and got back my $50.00 and just ordered correct air filter from Spruce for $32.00, Heck now my truck and my wallet are breathing better now!!

I went to the manual and found the parts #'s . I'm not use to looking in a mil manual and finding civie part #'s ( Fram C1125PL ) Go Figure!! :roll:
Brian Asbury use to sell the adaptor that plugged into standard 3 prong (civie) headlight and had 3 wire douglas connector on the ends ( easy enough to change to packard ). I had a set for years but like my mind I missplaced them

Hmmm...NAPA filters are WIX filters just under napa name. Take the first number off the wix part number and the remaining will be the napa part #. I think my deuce has a oem filter in it I'll have to compare it to my napa one that I just bought

Has anyone pondered putting in a mild water injection system to help burn/steam off carbon buildup when using VO, or is this (carbon) not a serious enough problem. I know doing this (water inj) on gas engines vertually eliminates carbon buildup in the cylinder,I just don't know if it can be...
The fuse for the intank pump is located at the tank at the top of the pump ( you'll see a wire running to it ) remove the small cover and its right there.
I stopped by Hawhthornes once, acres of mil trucks AND he is very proud of them $$$. If you do go there bring hip boots as Mr Hawthorne can really sling the Bull. Theres also Parramore Surplus up in the panhandle ( Mount Pleasant ), good prices
As already mentioned check OP with a mechanical guage BEFORE you do anything else. My M37 and both my deuces and my 5 ton read half on the elec OP guage to what I got when I hooked up my mechanical. Also if your running 50/50 Lucs your no longer in the 30w bracket anymore, more like 50-60w now

Setting the backlash on the pto is the only complicated thing you'll have to do as the idler gear on the pto mates to the counter gear on the tranny since these 2 gears will always be turning you don't want them pressed up to tight as you'll do damage to either or both...
