It's about 14"11" inside and 15'3" if you go to the outside of the front panel. What measurements do you need? I am headed out to the farm in a bit and can measure for you.
The bed on the M813 and M923-types is exactly the same. I have both out there.
Cheers
15'
And no, you can't get a 14' fitted tarp on it, no matter how much you cuss! But the tarp from an MTV will fit fine (though hangs down the sides further).
Cheers
Everyone has their prejudices. I have found the 6.2 to be very reliable, and easy to keep running. Like any other 30 year old vehicle, the CUCVs will have their issues, but they are easy to work on and almost all parts are easy to get.
It is not a "high-power" motor, slow on acceleration, but...
I have not actually installed it, but did test fit a boot taken from an M35 in my M813 (I'm more interested in keeping some of the hot air out of the cab!) and it looked like a fine fit.
One source- SS member Jatonka makes reproduction ones that look to be very good. Google Jatonka and you...
There are actually two "standard" turn signal levers.
One has a single arm, near the base on top is a small tab that, if depressed gently rearward, allows the arm to go past right-turn to 4-way.
The second type has a second, shorter, lever behind it. Pull that short lever out toward its tip...
I have M42 Alarm Units mounted on the dash plates on my M1009s.
I don't have the other unit they attach to with wires. Is this it? Looks like it has the output terminals.
Cheers
Texas also has the 'veteran' tag on the DL, but it is on the front.
Having started out my military career at a time when we were often refused service in restaurants for being Marines (1978 ), it pleases me to see how the military is treated now. When my Marine son was going back (and headed...
I'll have to go look at mine, but it looks like your metal channel is bent out too far.
I had a similar problem on one of my trucks, had to put the plastic part in, then bang the metal channel tighter with a rubber mallet. It moves easily, just take it slowly. Same when prying it up a bit...
I notice that some folks can see a list of which members are on, and others, like me, cannot.
In my vast knowledge of computers (he says trying not to laugh too much) I would guess this is either something I need to turn on on my preferences for the site, or on my own computer. But, I cannot...
Mark, the M37 (and the re-decked trailer) looked great! Having watched it progress from "as aquired" to its current condition, I am most impressed.
Here are a couple of pictures from the parade Sunday. The first one is a little dark because it was an uncivilized hour of the morning...
No Jim, not wasted, at least for me.
I think lots of folks in the future will find both yours and Maddawg's info long before they might find a manual. And I personally like to see the original documents.
You both have my thanks.
Cheers
Okay, both of you are right, actually.
Clarification- You don't need a commercial license to haul for personal use, you need a Non-Commercial Class A or B. Same level of license, same test, you just don't have to pay the commercial fees or meet the other commercial standards/rules. Most DMV...
I have never posted in the classifieds, I'm not here to sell stuff, so maybe never will.
I paid the premium to support the site. As much as I get out of this place in information and cameraderie, it is more than worth it to me. I know this site costs money to run, I'm more than willing to...
He told his commander that in actuality he was faced with only two options, the sniper hitting him or the window. He managed to articulate how his quick thinking actually saved the government money, since replacing the glass was cheaper than replacing him!
One of the reasons he got the...
