    M1010 Receiver Hitch Install

Yup, hitched. Only problem with the CUCV ambulance is the fact that it has no hitch. In order to remedy that I took a nice receiver tube supplied by harleyhouse down to a friends shop and we got busy. First order was cutting a hole on the channel on the rear. Traced out a quick pattern and...

    M-139 ??

The M139 designation is for a chassis truck. M328 is the bridge truck designation. The M139 chassis was used as the basis for the bridging truck as well as the missile launcher. Some (if not all) of the Honest John trucks had 10.26 axle gearing. Super cool looking. The M328 is probably the...

    M149 Water Trailer Frame

Uses the same frame as an M105. Grab a cheap M105 and swap chassis. Sell leftovers to someone on the prowl to bob a deuce.

Safe to leave key in on position?

Wonder if there was an MWO. Both of my trucks came from DOD and have the acc position. The ignition switch is shared with many civy vehicles. I even have a source of NOS lock cylinders and they rotate back.

    **2013 Florida Military Vehicle Rally**

Well, I hope you all are having fun in the swamp. I'm back at work for another round. I did manage recruit the help of a friend and now have a sturdy receiver hitch on the back of the bambalance. BTW, Weatherbug shows the temps at nearby Tampa at 37 degrees right now. Hope our New York friends...

    **2013 Florida Military Vehicle Rally**

I see the problem, no channel markers. Lucky there was a tow boat near the jetty. Man, that doesn't look like a bit of fun.

    Seabees Decals

Polverone (member here) also makes the decals and masks. His artwork is directly off of a Seabee issue stencil, I know, I provided it for him. He doesn't get on here much anymore but I'm still in contact with him and order from him frequently. You can contact him via email stickershock at...

armored diff covers for d60 and 14 bolt

I second the diy4x suggestion. I have the 14 bolt one without the razors. Took the "As Fabricated" cover and had it clear powdercoated. The powercoat is a satin finish and it looks cool as heck.

    M54 5 Ton Forum ???

In the spirit of fairness, there wasn't any 5 Ton forums at the time this request was made. Bruce requested one in the first post and Chris indicated that it was done in his post. So, yes, it was needed in 04 and granted.

    M1010 Pic Thread

Wow. I was poking around on Google yesterday trying to scare up one of the upper berths and came across your build on Expo. Being more of the purist, I grimmaced when I saw you gutting the back. Wished I were there to grab that upper litter. Cool wagon.

    Lifting the m1008

Did you not read the above? Turn in the title and part the truck! LOL

So....what do you guys exactly do with these trucks???

Better question and easier to answer is "Why Not"? Pound for pound there is no better value out there. There is something appealing about a truck that when it was designed, the absolute last consideration was driver comfort. Cheap to insure, easy to feed and can really be useful in a pinch...

    Presenting my new M1010

After getting to drive this to the store a few times I must say, the bucket seats in these trucks are much more comfy than bench seat in my M1008. Now I have to come up with a jump seat to install between them. 2 kids, don't want to hear one cry when I leave without him.

Know of any Pintle Accidents Needing Safety Chains?

The long factory type hooks have a hole in the eye for a piece of safety wire. I often safety wire or tape my chain hooks just in case, especially with the tow bar.
