How to keep a clean southern CUCV rust-free in the Northeast?

What works for my MVs is my dry barn with a concrete floor. I'm going to get this for my civi truck. http://www.hinderrust.com/

    R & R work (remove and repair)

I hope your feet are okay. I have also never been so glad that I have not fixed the water line where it broke out to the barn last winter....... ;-)

New to the forum in NC

Welcome to the site. When you get some parts ready for sale become a premium member and list them in the classifieds. I understand a few members have HMMWVs now and need them.

Bumperette removal. Do they still serve a purpose?

I use them to push my trucks with my backhoe. Handy and I have never had a problem using the shackles.

More than just the air pack

If it seems like you are getting picked on you aren't. Spelling is important for future users. It's brakes and NOT breaks. My questions is where did you get those auto drain valves.

If you work beneath your truck, absolutely close the cab doors!

If you work beneath your truck, absolutely close the cab doors!

All that means is that you have worked on an MV. Done it a couple of times which may explain other problems. ;-)

    Somewhat new member from Indiana

Well that's one way to lift the body off. ;-) Now that you have it camping worthy we will expect to see it at Haspin this summer. You will see a few other camper mods. Belated welcome.

    flat battery? new to this

Yes, you can bring your batteries over to the Auto Zone up the street from me and they will test them for free. The shipping and air fare will kill you though. ;-)

    flat battery? new to this

I would charge each one individually and when you are done connect a load tester to them and see what happens. Any battery I have ever had that was weak shows up in a few seconds on my el cheapo tester. Welcome aboard from the other side of the pond.

    Confirm Alternator Belt Part Number

Great information but why over think the problem. Takes the parts reference sticky and buy the belts listed. One belt will work on the alternator so matching belts seems overkill.

To Brake or Not To Brake

Corrected your title in order to make it easier to find for future users looking for brake information. That folks is why spelling is important in the thread titles.

Up in Smoke - Not the movie, my alternator

PM him and see if he responds. He might see your post. I don't know if he has made a bracket for the 6CTA yet. I have used the one for the Deuce and have one to install on my NHC-250.
