Open an account and take their tutorial , real easy, almost to easy before you know it you got the fever, a couple of trucks, a trailer or two, parts, tools, and a generator. Good luck
I have two red top Optimas w/ the adapters in my M35 . Starts like a champ every time. Replaced the dying Interstate work -alcoholics in my M813 with 2 tractor batteries from Tractor Supply. $139 a piece. Perfect fit for the 2battery boxes, cranks that250 right up.
A commercial truck parts counter should be able to make them, Like a Total Truck Parts or Fleet Tractor /trailer, our local place made up some "hard to find lines" in 10 minutes. go where the big trucks get fixed.
The steering will never compare to hyd. power steering that you may be acustomed to with a civilian vehicle. The air system is purely an assist. Also, only turn the wheel when the truck is rolling, static steering is tough on the linkage system. Low air warning is not good, where is the big...
Just got in from the shop, sounds like you're going to be the first to find out. Haven't needed to get into a transfer case yet. Just bigger tools , the manuals are out there, might even find a good replacement unit. Keep us post as to the failure mode.

John,
Same plan here, I've been cutting and baling all summer to keep 50+ head of Angus mixed beef cattle happy this winter. Started with these trucks because they're easy to maintain, fun to drive, have big engines that consume fossil fuels, and the FAA is not involved in the operation of...
Well that was 1:11 minutes of "that's not right". Stop, do not wait to drive a 100 miles or so. Sounds like when the thottle was released, (not pulling power) it grinds. Could be bearings or a shaft retainer let go and gears are meshing when they're not ment to.
Bad sign, clean the plug and check it in a 100 miles or so. Might be old and accumilated from years of service and repair, then again it may be headed south. See what it looks like after you drive it. Any grinding nioses?
Scott,
Sounds like the engine air compressor is working as advertized. My A3 builds pressure identically. As for the CTIS, start by reading all the attached threads Porky posted, lots of good info from others in the same boat (truck) you're in. Also good reference to the Tech Manuals you will...
Welcome aboard Mr. Dunn.
Trucks equiped with tools and accessories are a luck of the draw. I've recovered bare bone units and some that had every thing on board. Picked up a recent rebuild and all the issued tools were still in cardboard boxes, including jack and chain fall. Half the fun is...
How long have you had the truck? When you say manifold press. is 0, is that the CTIS controller read out or the truck's air pressure gage? The steering is independent, however there is a manual air shut off valve, for the steering air supply, located on the fire wall, centered about the engine...
Warren,
That really came out nice, still sourcing parts to do something real similar, going to use a 12" Duece bed. Oil filter kit is a nice helpful mod, just put one on my 813, going to put on on 931 after I decide with one to keep.
Keep us informed

Welcome from the Bluegrass State, neat truck. I have several peices of machinery manufactured in Romania, all chambered in 7.62 x .39. Good craftsmenship.
Welcome from Kentucky, we call it "green crack", very addictive to say the least. Start w/ a Deuce like DeiselBob say, real easy to run and fix, fun to drive.
Then get another truck, that's why it's call a motor pool. Don't forget a MEP generator.....

Not fair! Two different truck applications. Does she drive the Dodge? She will need to learn to drive the deuce just in case. Jewelry is sometime part of the overall equation of MV ownership, search other theads on the true value of jewelry.
