I know, I know.... everything there is DIN and metric... but you are collecting US-MV's and they are not....! :)
Hard to tell from the pic but that looks to be 3/4"-10. Measure it, so someone can send a suitable bolt your way!

WOW, a lot of fab work - which I would call "redneck engineering", at best: for example, noticed that cobbled-together, custom extra-long pitman arm? ... the severe U-joint angle at the PS-box input? .... a steering wheel that comes way too close to the seat? ... besides instruments now facing...
Agreed the first sentence. Now IMO, it matters because we have learned that for the LDT you'd better install a pyro and boost-meter, after doing that... like probably the same if we turned-up a 5ton MF, now delivering 230Hp, instead of 175Hp in stock form.... !?
So again the same question: what...
It normally gets worse in a matter of days, depending usage: from 3 misses in 20 starts down to 3 starts every 20 trials.
The only cure: replace the bendix!

Basically we are trying to find an explanation for those 50 extra horses. Mechanical engineer - or not, anyone experienced with these engines can feel (in that body part closest to the seat upholstery) the difference between a stock LDT465-1D and then a 5ton LDS465-1A, pulling the same truck...
Jerry, in post #26 you mentioned having "tried jumper wires @ headlights/marker lights." ... which left me scratching my head, as what exactly was done.
Referred mod. really doesn't involve anything headlight- (or wire #16, instead) -related; nor does it affect the blinker function in any way...
FWIW, with the leg folded up and the tongue resting on the ground the M105 lunette ring (in stock position) will be at only 3", distance to ground! I don't see anything compromising ground clearance there.
Actually, what is the distance from the center of your truck's receiver to level ground...
It is very common for that (threaded)rod inside the vertical pillar to rust away and the nut simply twist off at the first attempt for adjustment.
A piece of Ø1/4" "All-Thread", cut to 18-3/4 will help. Best if it was 1/4-28 UNF (fine thread)
See original dimensions here....

Funny, all that "white stuff" covering your trucks.... while my green iron sitting outside gets too hot to touch! Having 90ºF right now... and preparing for worse!
Merry Christmas to all SS-ers!

Correct wheel/ spindle bearing adjustment: I'm very confident that you will know what and how to do it, after reading this thread... Lots of good info there!

No, it is the Deuce's-MF clutchhousing that needs that special adapter ring.
The 5ton MF engines take a clutch housing with a SAE#2 pattern.
Attached (edited) photo of that adapter ring shows the SAE#2 bolt holes (in red) vs. the MF's odd bolt pattern (white).
