Operating without the TC lockup is not advised as the torque converter creates much more heat.
Also you cannot simply short the wires to simulate a no brake...
Being a failsafe device it would be closed not open for normal driving.
I am completely wrong, there is a reader that will I am told will control shifting, live and learn.

It is not uncommon for a truck/generator/whatever, to have all the fluids drained, everything I have bought coming out of Air Force service have had all the fluids drained.
Anyone buying anything out of DRMO should immediately change all the fluids and filters anyway, it is part of the initial...
If you find a scanner it will not likely allow any manual control, that is a very early and basic TCM and the H1 was a civy truck so it would have a OBD connector you do not have.
For the most part just getting the codes and some other very basic stuff like RPM is all the diag on that TCM.
Why...
39D looks like the switch feed, 400 goes to the fan motor, it will be on one side of the resistor mounted to the firewall behind the inst. panel, basically supply 24V to one side of the resistor for high and to the other side for low
There is a bolt going through the fire wall directly in front of where the inst. panel is mounted, you have to pull the panel to get to it, there are ground lugs on both sides of the firewall.
Put your meter in ohms (the sign of the omega) touch the probes together and note the readout, many...
Welcome to the forum!
Have you put a meter on the sending unit wire #58 to see if it is grounded?
Also have you cleaned all the grounding points on the back of the engine and both sides of the firewall behind the inst. panel?
The only thing the run switch powers directly is the inst. panel, the run solenoid in the IP and the start solenoid, all other loads are provided from the PCB/EESS box, the run switch could not handle the current required for the alt, heater blower etc.
I am not sure what schematic you are...
If you cannot read codes then there is no reason to go any farther until you can, if the TCM will not recognize being put into diag mode it will not operate the transmission.
BTW there are many codes that do not illuminate the trans light, if you do not read them you have really no idea if you...
Just go to their web site and plug in the numbers in any order you want, of course 16.5 rim would be the first entry. They have some 39.5x13.5 ( ROK-08 ) I would like to try, seems like it would look right with a 2" lift
Holy cow they make a 49"-21-R16.5 man that's allot of rubber!!
All the wiring diagrams are in that troubleshooting guide, there is 12V continuous to one pin and switched 12V to a different pin on the TCM
If you have not already done so open the box and make sure there was no water intrusion into the box.
OK then it is time to get out the meter and make sure the two sources of power and the grounds are good, if that all checks out and you are positive you are doing the jumper correctly then the TCM is likely bad, you should also inspect and re seat the connectors on the inside and outside of the...
