My answer is Truck Lite LED. Direct fit for less then $400. I have them in 4 of my trucks and I love them. They are also easy on the eyes of on coming traffic. I had the H4 with the HID bulbs but they are obnoxious and I got a lot of number 1 hand ratings in parking lots on low beam. On high...
Today I better find an XM channel for the gospel music. I went out at 0500 dark and started the Voodoo M1009 and when I went up the road the headlamps went off. I am off road and have parking lamps but no headlamps. And I continue to go and next thing I know a warm feeling comes over my feet and...
The other person ssdv was a good friend of mine and he was asking about buying parts for his M1009 in another thread. Every time someone/I mention Autozone someone has a comeback with what junk they sell. I was just shedding a little light on the fact that you get what you pay for and that NOT...
Yea I feel great. I don't have any issues about what, who and why I was discussing a u-joint issue with. I was just having a bit of friendly exchange with guys that I thought shared the same hobby and interest as I do. I didn't think I was going to get into a conflict over my reply. I was just...
Yes and also the motor mounts can be worn out and let the rubber fuel feed get pinched and then it has a small slice in it and will not allow it to pump fuel. I had that happen to me. So the list is long and deep. You have a conundrum here. Check everything fuel line and pump related. Up to and...
The new one still looks good (no leaks).
Good looks don't count. Loosen the fuel line and see if fuel is pump out of the flare nut connection. Then proceed to bleed filter if fuel is present on outer fuel feed past pump. But changing the filter base with no fuel being pumped will accomplish...
If I don't want to do I don't do it. If I start I finish. Lately I have been more instructional and supervisory then I used to. But most times I do the task. I have someone doing some sanding and cleaning of parts for me at this very moment. I will see how that works out about 4 today. Breaking...
I changed all 8 13 G glow plug's on Voodoo M1009. The right rear glow plug was swelled and required a 1/2 hour of gospel music to get it out. They were in the unit for 9 years. Not bad at all. Back in the fight. I had a new guy that never waited for the light to go out. IMHO that is the cause...
Could be the injection pump throttle shaft seals. Any leak in the fuel system can do that. The spin on is not a fix all. Do as you wish. This is heavily covered on this site. Many scenarios can cause the same issue.
WOW. I would go out and protest but I have work to do. It is an Autozone thread. Get over it. I am NOT surprised that it made someone tear up. SSDV and I were just having a friendly exchange. If you don't want to be in the exchange move on. Simple as that. Have a great day. And I am straight on...
Hey I am on your side on this. I have NO problems with the parts at Autozone. If you want to buy discount parts they have them. If you want Moog parts they have them. They have whatever you want and what ever you want to pay for it. The warranties are great. I had issues with mail order at times...
I hope that information helps Pal. I know I can get you one at other places also. That is a great deal. It is re manufactured in USA and has a lifetime warranty. I never returned one for warranty. I do have a few used ones. But I have not been putting anything used on anymore except sheet metal...
Takes about 10 min now
How long did it take you before? I can change the stock one in like 3-4 minutes. Am I doing something wrong? Having a good running truck with no fuel issues is key. And it helps a lot to do it when the vehicle is thoroughly warmed up.
Today I did some new spring installation on the frame. I have to wait till the new rear drums arrive to get the axles under the frame and attached to the new springs. These are the spring part numbers p[ictured if anyone is interested. The springs on front are 4 ply. I have been putting them on...
ssdvc. Is this the m1009 I sold you? I think it could be the hydra-boost. It is an easy fix. And you can disregard the master cylinder if it is the M1009. That was changed. The Hydra-boost was not to my knowledge. I have a few used ones but I would not even bother putting a used brake booster on...
Tin Star has it correct. While you are in there you may as well change the master cylinder also. It is less than $25. and is warranted for life. Remember DOT 5 Silicone brake fluid. Bench bled the master cylinder and you can install it after the hydra-boost. Access to a 15mm swivel/ball sockets...
I moved a few of them around in the yard and raked leaves. I have been driving my car a lot lately. I am getting spoiled with all the luxury of a car. De Elegance is my new standard. And if things don't work out. I can always put the body on a M1009 frame and chassis. Maybe. Maybe NOT.
I w3as thinking more along the line of an auxiliary brake fluid cooler mounted in the grille with its own fan. That would fit right up there with a power steering fluid cooler.
Come south to Pennsylvania and I will sell you one that needs some minor or major work. your choice.
Is it an M1009 or an M1008 or M1028? Just asking. PM me with your needs.
