My truck was mostly stripped of door hardware when I got it, as they are high failure. I put toyota 4runner door handles on mine. Been running them for decades on multiple vehicles and have never broken one. Junkyards are full of them as they don’t ever break:) Fairly easy install, only a...
I ditched the filter-minder gauge for primary fuel pressure. I dropped out the round voltmeter for a dual led display unit that fits in a switch hole, and used the round opening to add engine oil temp.
Over on the left I put in a dual needle air gauge and standalone low air switches to replace...
Yea the A0 PDP is not the source of the power issues that I have seen. The weak link in the PDP are the cheesy circuit breakers IMO. Auto blade fuses work great….
Having helped a few people with electrical issues, i cant think of a single A0 PDP issue, but I have helped several localize to...
Well either something is loose and leaking air, or the pump has issues. Does the sound change when you turn tge wheel/use power steering? I would probably take the pump off and run it without that and see what it sounds like, although a mechanics stethescope should be able to tell you exactly...
If it hasn’t set that low for too long, the battery may be recoverable, charge it. If I am recalling correctly the A1/A1R shouldn’t have a 12V vampire. The Vampire on the A0 is I believe from the 12V feed to the Vehicle Interface Module, and the WTEC3 transmissions don’t use that or 12V as far...
Ok what exactly do you switch or jumper to start the truck? By cab battery disconnect are you referring to the red guarded sw to the left of the steering column? That sw does 2 things.
1. it opens the battery disconnect relays in the box to the rear of the batteries adjacent to the manual...
Well yess there is, with a ohm meter. But that code 66 indicates the TCU isn't even looking for it. The code 66 says it is looking for TPS data from the engine computer which you don't have on the 3116.
Like I suggested to Superman if it was looking for the standalone TPS and it had an issue...
Well if it is in the mode of looking for a standalone TPS I would suspect it would give some form of TPS fault like a 21-12 or 21-23 for failed low or high as it would report a TPS voltage outside the idle and full throttle positions stored in memeory…
Have you ever seen this truck operate correctly? With a 3116 engine and properly programmed wtec2 or 3, you should never see code 66. That indicates loss of serial comms to the Engine Control Unit(expecting to see throttle position data from engine computer), which this truck never had…
code...
Yea i don’t see the need for center diff interaction control with what I am envisioning, as it is on a per axle basis(controller for each axle). I envision it more like an on demand electronic locking diff, and when you would use it the center diff is probably already locked in mode. It would...
The secret of traction control is in NOT braking the wheel to a stop, only applying enough additional drag to the slipping wheel with a brake so that the diff thinks it has two wheels with traction and sends more torque to the wheel that actually has some. I do this with my tractor on occasion...
I think they may, they appear to use the same reservoir/filter assembly, and the A0 24P shows P/N 7632 141 102, but part target crosses that back to the same NSN that General disorder listed above. Also crosses to a Fram CH803APL.
