PM me if you can't find replacement sprag assys there. I have access to new OEM ones, very cheap. Shipping (via DHL) would be the toughest part but probably still less than replacing the whole TC. Also, yours can be fixed with the TC in place, by just pulling the front output section.

I say it again: YES, ALL parts.... but NOT the two mentioned shafts.
For those you'll need to find a 5ton donor PTO. (there should be some around with broken cases - thanks to Xtra-strong shear pins.....!:-P)
Or, do it the other way around: buy a good 5ton PTO and just swap all the gears from...
Maybe you can find that info here? (+ there are lots of other threads covering this as well): http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/17138-explain-tire-sizes-3.html

The beginning of the LDS 427 and all further improvements for the entire MF-engine family is described here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/12029-multifuel-engine-life.html
You should try to contact David Doyle for the complete history of the LDS 427; if he doesn't know, who else....????:-)

You probably are just missing the whole lockpin assembly. The threaded hole you can see is where the slotted nut/plug (encircled red) screws in.
No problem to use the winch without this; just find a way to prevent (self)un-spooling of the drum/wire rope while driving!

I'm currently working on a new dump conversion and this time there will be no notching...
If you mean front of vehicle, YES, correct!
Yes, get that all if still in good shape. I will PM you details then what to do with each part.
Better ask HOW..... Yes, I will also tell you exactly what to do with that part....

Agree with Tom.
Gary, I can understand why you and maybe others are confused ....
Hydraulic assisted steering conversion: a lot had to be learned by trial and error and it sure has taken a long way for some of us to get to where we are standing now, regarding complete and accurate info...

Not exactly, two holes doesn't mean twice as much fuel......: actually the LDS465-2 and -1A are one-hole nozzle tips, ALL other MF models including the 175Hp 5ton version LDS465-1 "should" be two holes.
See following chart with P/Ns which I've put together from various books.
(At least that's...
That's correct.
From one of my preferred books - "Trouble Shooting Manual LDS465-1 Multifuel Engine", page 7:
"The Hypercycle Combustion Process enables the LDS465-1 engine to perform successfully with a wide variety of fuels having cetane ratings from 18 to 60 without encountering "diesel...
