Then I would bet it's was a m10xx truck at some point. I have seen one or two at the auctions that had the armor holes in them. So yes, you have an original....is any of the plates still there?
Folks
i am trying to work with a few companies on mfg of an after market AC Unit to fit into where your exsisting heater core and blower resides.
The issue that keeps arising is the vendors asking, just how many are we talking about?
just what sort of interest is there?
there are companies that...
Being s civy motor, your gping to need to strip the motor down to a long block and change everything over to mechanical.
unless your going to convert to 12v. That IJ pump might be a DS4, the wastegate is vacuum not mechanical...it's a lengthy list of things to do.
the HMMWV does not have a manual set cold advance, just turn the key and if the temp is below say 120deg, it's automatic. The CUCV uses that type though, as well as civy setups, just not the HMMWV.
Trying to cost justify something you build in your garage versus something that a machine shop has to fabricate is somewhat a lesson in futility. If all you have is your material costs and you do all the labor, well...it's a no brainer.
but the minute you leave your garage and try and get...
The one saving grace on a GMV is that you don't need to spend the money buying 2 sponsons, trear hatch, all the related hardware and time spent installing it all. Instead, you can "IMO" fabricate or find just the C-pillar support.

You joined this forum on 8/30/16 and for your first post was to demand contract paperwork from GP.
not the entrance most of us are used to here...there are forums on SS for this topic, this is the HMMWV forum, for questions on HMMWV's, these issues are not specific to any one vehicle...
the issue was #8 cyl crack issue on early turbos....amongst others, but that was the #1 fix when GEP took it over.
GM didn't want to bother due to the soon to be released Duramax....no sense in dumping money on an old design.
im sure GP would love for the approval process to take no time at all...but it's out of there hands. I waited months at GL for any items, faster if I was always buying. I'm sure they have raised the issue at every staff meeting....I've been in Govt for 30yrs...nothing moves fast. Maybe if GP...
By all means, yes....the one thing about that truck is the windshield says "No power", so not sure what that means, such as, it runs and drives but has no real power? Or do they mean...it maybe had no batteries and then they made it run? Who knows till you get the truck.
