    This can't be good

Sounds like an injector....I assume the noise rises and falls with rpm. loosen one injector at a time....if it's an injector it will cease once you loosen the problem injector.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

You guys are doing it the hard way....I have never replaced a pump that way, and I have done more then I can count. just remove the hood, splash shields and radiator stack...the radiator stack will come out as a complete unit. this is also a good time to replace those old hard and crusty...

2 Problems; Brake whining & rear tire thumping **UPDATED**

I do suggest you read the TM's...there are a lot of excellent diagrams of the various systems in the truck as well as explaining how the systems function. You don't need to replace your entire geared hub, everything inside of them is rebuildable. my suggestion is to find a reputable HMMWV...

Any idea what could have caused this?

I had a truck that had broken fan blade....I got the truck in the winter time, the fan never engaged till whether turned hot...when it engaged at about 45mph, I thought the engine blew. When I let off the pedal and pulled over, it was running fine, got back in, repeat....so I unplugged the TDM...

    "only fill 3/4"

All vehicles going on aircraft have to be 1/4 tank or less of fuel in the tank, this should be checked during JI "joint inspection". This is what I do for the Air Force.... The Army trucks are certainly better maintained then the Marine corp trucks, that much I do know. The MC trucks I get...

    Recent auction choices

Maybe they are just trying to sell inventory? I mean, that's what companies do...I'm sure it's a conspiracy, it has to be. in the end...when all the bad ones are gone, they will start to auction off all the brand new ones never issued for $1000.00....I can't wait!

    Push Button Light Switch...

Of course they are in use....just because they Are in a truck doesn't mean much....we are talking about 18yr old kids in the motor pool who use what they have. I personally, have never seen one in 30yrs of service in the military. nor have I on any GP trucks that I've bid on or bought.... I...

    Push Button Light Switch...

They are not authorized for use on the HMMWV...there was a SOUM put out by TACOM I do believe. The newest hmmwv's from AM general still use the 3 lever switch.

    Hydro-boost / hose o-ring help

There is only one O-ring per hose end...install new one but make sure to coat it in ATF before you install it. this way it won't get torn up when you tighten the fitting.

    HMMWV C-Series

The EUC does not prevent export to country's on the Bad boy list....you can export them all day long as long as the proper paper is filed, but again, not to hostile country's. Not sure who these questionable country's you are referring too. ifmyou didn't know, it is a requirement of the EUC that...

    HMMWV C-Series

why would it bother anyone? Those same people went through the same EUC and wait time. If you don't want to wait....but from a private party and/or dealer who already has a truck. IMO, there is enough info on the internet so that there is no reason a person does not know what they are getting...

    HMMWV C-Series

save your money, or if you want one really bad, have one built for you at much less cost then what they charge. your research should have taken you to humvee.net where there are numerous threads on the topic. the trucks are sold in kit form, this gets around the DOT on crash safety tests from...

    voltage problem

Regulator is toast....I would replace the entire generator with the new style, that is a very early model, can't say I've seen one. You will be hard pressed to find a replacement regulator I think. the new style reg is plentiful.

    Slantback b pillar alternative

The turret is by no means a little piece of metal....$1700.00 is all relative, they are $2700.00 new from the mfg. i can't say it enough, supply and demand folks. But here is a little insight, I have been building slamtbacks for about 15yrs, my first kit I bought brand new over 10yrs ago was 9k...
