couldn't agree more on the TH400...they are one of the strongest trannys on the market.
My trans guy told me this years ago....the 4L80E is good, but nothing like a TH400 on durability.
there aren't any..and please don't post a pic of the unit that no one has ever owned. Someone posted a pic in another thread. Never seen one in 30yrs of military service. If it was used, it would be in a TM, and there are none in any of the TM's...I like the look of no bumper, that is till you...
I wouldnt worry Joe...that's a new style takeout trans and tcase package you have in your pic.just drop it in and go...that cooler loops issue was from 199x, not sure it was an issue in anything 2000 and above.
Now that unit you have is like 2004 and up. I have some of the same packages. You...
An 84in wide trailer works just fine...it's a squeeze, but it fits....if it's a deck over even better.
been hauling on my CH60 for 15yrs. It's not a deck over and is 84inches.
Good tires is key to successful haul...

i would tell anyone of my perspective customers the same thing, buy a Solid GP truck, send it to RWH...
Yes and yes....plus several other things. I find it funny how folks say it's just as easy as 1,2,3...
the crossmember is not moved back, it's replaced. The 242 tcase mates to the 4L80E, your also going to need drive shafts too. To be fair...I don't do after market conversions....I do factory...

it requires a little more then bolting it to the fender. It uses a frame and support on the airlift bumper.
here is a truck I finished a few months back.
thats an NA, not sure if your other motor is a Turbo or not...but if you have a turbo motor, go with that.
the same amount of work has to be done. I can tell you that both The NA and turbo with the new trans is freakin sweet and drives beautiful. You can't really go wrong with either of them...
