The multifuel could be called a indirect-injection engine. It's not like any I've ever seen but it does have a pre-combustion chamber built into the pistion that the injector squirts into.
Not that I know of.
Only thing I can tell you from the reg. number you posted is the truck was made from 1960-1968 ( if the reg. number is correct). The first numbers in your S/N should be either 0125-***** or 0225-***** if the truck was built by Kaiser-Jeep. It's in the timeline where it...
VIN, S/N, call it what you want but IMO they are the same thing. The registration number is the "4D7994" listed above or as in "NK045SW" in CARNAC's avatar. The reg. number is usually painted on the inside of the doors or sometimes on the hood or sometimes on the data plate.
Can't be done. I tried it one time. I bought a truck for my brother because he didn't have a GL account. I tried to get the sf97 in his name but they wouldn't do it. They will only issue a sf97 to a name on the GL account that bought the truck. If someone (besides GL) is saying they can get a...
A deuce dosen't have air over hyd brakes. It's air assisted hyd. A deuce works just like any other hyd brake system other than it has a air booster to help with the brakes where most vehicles use a vaccume or hyd booster.
I believe it was General Prouducts Division. There were no Kaiser trucks. At the last there was the LTV Corp. but the tag still said AM General.
Kaiser-Jeep, General Products, AM General, and LTV were all more or less the same company. The company just changed hands because of sellouts and...
A freind of mine had some CARC that came straight from the military. It was Sherwin Williams paint so I guess that's what the Military uses. If that's the case you could just look at any truck comming through GL to see what it looks like .
While we're on this subject, What is the correct way to strap a jerry can in it's holder? On my m715 I just ran the strap through the lower slot, under the holder, and up the back to the top. This works for the m715 but won't work on the deuce because you can't run the strap under the holder...
I know what you mean. I was the same way .
When I was in High School computers or the internet wasn't around much, I didn't write letters (I used the phone), and I didn't plan on having a desk job. I still don't write letters or have a desk job but I've found myself on this thing called...
I'd say so if your adjusters are working properly.
There is a guy in Nashville that relines shoes and has very resonable prices. I'll see if I can find his number and shoot you a PM.
I just got him to reline four shoes off a "B" model Mack. Every other place I talked to said that you...
I know the stock PTO sounds expensive but have you priced a new Chelsea? I know the deuce PTO isn't available from them anymore but a new one to fit anything else will run $400-$500. You can find stock PTOs for around $300 or so. I think that's a pretty good deal as far as PTOs are concerned.
I've done some research on this and came up empty handed. Chelsea did make one that fit years ago but it's no longer available. Best bet is to buy a dual output or figure out a way to mate a pump to the front output if you're not planning on having a winch.
When I go I'm always in a commercial vehicle so I have to use the commercial gate ( don't remember the gate number). Don't know if security is different over there or not but I've been several times and they haven't asked for invoice.
You're right about it depending on who's working the gate...
Well the military does tend to overbuild things. I don't know what the size of alot of the deuce wiring is but I do know that the insulation is thicker than on most vehicle wiring. That may be throwing you off.
12ga wire is good for 20amps no matter the voltage but a light or gauge will use...
Aren't Optimas different from a lead/acid battery? I'm not sure a solargizer will work with them. The way I understand it a solargizer de-sulfates a lead/acid battery.
I just recived a bottom canvas cover from JATONKA. I know he as back and bottom covers for the spring and box seats. I don't know if he has the foam though.
Don't know if they will let you on the lot to preview but it's no problem getting on base. I've been to pick up and all they look at at the gate was DL, vehicle registration, and proof of ins. They didn't ask for invoice or anything, just asked where you were going.
:ditto:
I have never seen a big rig that was 24v either. Some maunfacturers may have made some prototypes but to my knowledge they never produced any in large numbers. One of the main reasons I doubt they did is you couldn't run the lights on any trailer on the market unless you changed the...
