I think they are in China or somewhere overseas.
As far as parts running out, The deuce is going to be like the Jeep. When surplus starts running out aftermarket suppliers will step in to fill the void. Prices are sure to go up though.
I have no idea how many parts the military still has...
What about the water pump belt? Did you find the missing tensioner? I remember us looking at it but didn't see you come up with anything. Just want to make sure you didn't forget about it .
Wow. You've got more guts than I have by buying 6 deuces right out of the gate . Be sure to keep us informed about your experiences with getting them. Good or bad, I bet it's going to be interesting :-D.
Looks like you've got it bad . Looks like the deuce wasn't satisfying your addiction anymore so you've moved up to 5-tons. Before long ( if your money holds out) you'll be to 10-tons.
I typed in "condition codes" in the search box and this was one of many threads that came up.

A good parts man will compare your part if you bring in what you need ( you should always bring in your old part to compare if possable) even though they look it up on a computer.
My '93 Ford F350 threw a belt one Sunday. Being a Sunday the only place that was open was Autozone. I took in the...
Only the last trucks ('80s) had the dual circuit brakes. I'm assuming the dual circuit brakes on the A2 have the resivior mounted on the firewall like the M35A3 but I'm not for sure.
rofl I didn't know you got a pic of the dead bird.
I forgot to get the S/N today. Truthfully, I thought about it at one time but it was pouring down rain but after the rain stopped I forgot about it. I'll try and remember tomorrow and get it to you.
If you don't inspect beforehand it's a roll of the dice. Don't rely on any of the discriptions or condition codes. You can't judge by the bids you see untill the end of the auction. Most of the bids come in in the last 30 min. or so. I was watching some sell today that was in the $2,000 range...
In my area the local Farmers CO-OP has the best prices on oil. For other deuce parts that can be had on the civilain market I use NAPA. They are the only parts store around here that have a clue. At Autozone, Advance, ect. if they can't look it up on their computer they are lost. When they ask...
My operation is expanding :-D.
To answer your original question, You used to see alot of rusty trucks up north on near the ocean but lately it seems they move all over. The last truck I got from Redstone (AL) had paperwork in it saying it came from New Jersey. At any given time you can see...
All the sites within a couple of hunderd miles from me (includes Ft. Campbell and Redstone) have nothing but junk!
Just kindding. Trying to cut down on some of the competition .
I agree about the added income to the site but that comment is streching it a little . The last round I had with them they didn't seem too commited :-D.
It has been a rule that ebay auctions are ok but GL, GSA, etc. are not for some time. Don't know why it's that way.
If you look at it this way it will make more sense. Would you post a GL auction that you were planning on bidding on? I wouldn't because even though just about everbody here...
I started a thread on the same subject but just noticed you beat me by about 5 min :-D. I saved the mods some hassle and deleted mine.
I kind of have mixed feelings on the adds. I know the site can use the money but I noticed last time they were here the trucks in the adds seem to bring a...
I'm a certified crane operator so I have some knowledge in this area. I've stacked many containers with a 14 ton RT civilian crane. It's not a one man (woman) job. You will need a minumim of two people. Three would be better. You will not be able to see to line the pins up and the container will...
