I don't think he's talking about IFTA stickers. That's only for trucks with apportioned tags. I think what he's talking about is a NC fuel sticker.
What I did here in TN to be able to use the truck like I want is to run farm tags. They are weighted tags and farm vehicles are exempt from...
There was a article in MVM that was about contract numbers. It was titled "know Thy Contract Number" . David didn't write it though. I've got it around here somewhere. I'll try and find it and post the info.
Speaking of David Doyle. I haven't seen him around here lately. I figure he's just...
Me too. The question is, is it "B" or "Q" classification. Don't remember which is which but one means all you have to do is fill out a EUC (as most trucks are). The other is munitions and has to be destroyed.
I agree.
Talking about draining air tanks, There was a post awhile back (believe it was on the old site) where someone asked if they had to go out and drain their tanks every day if the truck was just sitting there not in use.
I've seen post where someone already owns a deuce and ask "what...
I have removed several doors. Never seen one that the pins weren't stuck. I've used heat to remove them and haven't ruined a bolt yet. I just heat untill red and put a wrench on the bolt and they will start to spin a little. Just keep working with it and it will work free. They are an odd size...
We all do things like this from time to time. I still have all my fingers but I did crush flat the end of my finger, knocked a tooth out, broke two toes and needed to have stiches several times but I just pulled the wound back together with some tape and went on. Seems every time I do something...
That's about right for a private sale if it has air-shift, LDT multifuel, runs, and stops. I wouldn't put too much faith in the mileage reading though.
I still have the one for sale I PMed you about for $2,500.
halftrack, I looked at your pic but I don't think my top has the pieces of angle on it for the J blots to go through as in your pic. All I saw was two holes that went through the top and the rubber that I figured lined up with the holes in the top of the windshield.
The people at Redstone are easy to get along with but you do have to make an appointment and they're pretty strict on that. You have to be escorted on the DRMO lot and they can't let too many people in a once. Seems I remember them telling me one time when I was there that they are closed on...
I've been through 2 winters already so I know what it's like without a heater . I think I'm going to take your suggestion and wait awhile. I'm taking everyone's comments into my decision.
That's the main reason I got the heater  but the more I thought about it I didn't really want to loose access to the left side of the engine. I'm looking closely at BCs setup.
It's a known fact that it takes more energy to produce ethanol than it makes. The ethanol plants you see today would go broke if they weren't government subsidized. You'd be better off to sell the corn you raised and use the money to buy diesel.
Like someone else said, 3 trucks is just an average. They would start with a truck and take fenders, doors, etc that needed replacing from other trucks. The hood is just from one truck but they split it and added a strip of metal in it to make it wider. The later ones had fiberglass one piece...
Have you looked at a heater on a M35A3? Everything is mounted under the dash in them. It's a much better design IMO.
hatteras4164, I haven't made my mind up yet. I'll let you know if I decide not to use it.
Ok guys, I've brung this thread back from the dead. I was looking at installing a hardtop today. I'm confused about the windshield bolts. I see the hole in the top of the windshield but there doesn't seem to be any way to get to the bottom to install a regular bolt. Am I missing something?
I've aquired a heater for my duece and was going to install it today. I was getting ready and figuring out where everything went and I started having second thoughts. Truth is I don't really know if I want it. It's going to be in the way for oil changes and basicly anything on that side of the...
