I tried a search for Diverco but came up with nothing.
The deuce I just got has a Diverco trans in it. Not a Spicer but it is a five speed. It looks just like the Spicer. I meant to write down the PN but forgot and it's at work. Has anyone heard of a Diverco trans in a duece?
Yes. Cummins are bad about it. I've seen it eat clean through the cyl.
Most coolant filters have SCAs in them and release it a little at a time. There's really no need in buying coolant with SCAs in it if your running a filter. It could be like Will says, too much of a good thing.
I'll take some more pics of the trucks but I didn't get any at the GL lot. The GL guy said he had to be leaving soon and to hurry up with the loading because I couldn't be there without him there. I was supposed to look at some trucks for some people but I had to leave before I had time. I even...
Went to Redstone Arsenal today to pick up my m35a2 and Monkeyboyarmy's m35a3. Got there and met up with some fellow SS and loaned Wreckerman some air for his trailer tires. I didn't know if mine ran but while I was waiting on Wrecker to air up his tires The GL guy pulled up in it :-D...
I toyed with the idea of making them to sell awhile back and this is what got me worried. I thought about putting a sticker on them that said "do not use for towing" and let people do with them what they wish but I don't know if that would hold up in court.
The only dealings I've had with the 45K winch is I installed one on the back of a Kenworth. I didn't weigh it but it's heavy. I guess about 400lbs.
The only thing I don't like about the winch is it doesn't have a disconnect lever to free spool the rope out.
The rear winch case is aluminum not cast iron. If it just had some water in it and it froze and craked you may could just weld it up. If something got in a bind and cracked it you may be looking for a new winch.
I tried to enter the chat room and when I click on it all I get is a blank screen with a "x" in the top left corner. Anybody know what the problem could be?
That's the same story I've heard from anybody that ever filed a complaint with GL. They have the worst business practices of anybody I know of and we (myself included) still give them our money.:?
I've done the 205 swap years ago but don't remember what's involved. I'd stay away from the 203. They're ok but arn't near as good as a 205 and you'll have full time 4X4 unless you install a kit to convert to part time. I personally think the 208 will hold up fine unless you're going to hop up...
No. You have to watch the temp. while it's under load. By the time you stop and get out and check it the temp. will have already dropped several hundered degrees.
From what I understand the LDS does have some stronger internals than the LDT. I remember from your other post that your LDT is turned up more than any other I've ever heard of . Most people go with the LDS in the deuce to get the same HP as a max turned up LDT with the added strength of...
From what I understand the LDS is already at about the max the design can stand. A stock LDS will usually outdo a turned up LDT.
As for the 250 Cummins, they made the same basic engine that put out 600HP.
That's a spark ignition engine. Basicly a gas engine with low compression (not high compression) to cut down on pre-ignition on sub-standard fuels. The multifuel diesel is altogether different.
Farmall did have engines that started on gas and switched over to diesel. They had spark plugs and...
