Yes. It will be completely rebuilt wire by wire in the future. I don't see another option. I didn't visit Stewart & Stevenson in San Antonio to ask about the harness because I doubt they can get it, & if they can, it's going to cost half what I paid for my truck.
Wires falling apart is going to...
No problem. I have been trying to go back & revise some of the video with links so it goes more along with my format of the channel. The earlier videos I made were kind of haphazard. This one must have slipped by me! If you find for some reason that any of the links were wrong please let me know.
Well, since I got it... not for sale anymore. :p
Drained & filled the axle with oil. Took it for a 30 mile or so drive to get fuel. Seems good.
One time the quick release valve dumped a bit while filling. But, ultimately it works. Thinking that maybe some gunk made it;s way to it. Hoping it...
Update #8
There did end up being something obstructing air flow in the suspected line built into the wheel hub. See attached pictures. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but my guess is old RTV & sand.
It was not a complete blockage so air would pass but it would hold back enough pressure to...
Back to my CTIS issue that I have posted a bunch on the tread about since February.
Update #7
I removed both sides of the rear axle. New seals all around. Still have the same problem!
I'm total out of ideals. I have replaced virtually ever part from the controller to the wheels & the valve...
Another update video!
Had some issues with my truck locking into 2nd gear. Found some bad wires.
I go through how to troubleshoot the WTECIII on the FMTV & then my own issue.
I have ~34 hours on it now.
With the tank completely full, I got 9 hours of run time on my off grid cabin. Still had fuel in it but I packed up.
Not bad! This is going to be left out there as my backup power, My MEP-802A went down & was very happy I left it there last trip.
It wasn't running...
After thinking about it for well over a year, I made a spare tire carrier.
Made it with some 2 inch angle iron & a generic Ford Super Duty spare tire holder between the 2 rearward cross members. I'm not a great welder but it should hold up. There is enough room between the rear tool box & the...

I had the WIX one on before this one for a few years & had no issue. I get filters for free from time to time & had a Fleetguard one that fit so that's on there now. I'm sure it will be fine.
I was thinking about having some extra fuel line & adapters on hand. If I did, I could have bypassed...
So, took it out this weekend. Just before going to sleep, I checked on the generator & found some fuel leaking.
Fuel/water separator failed at the drain fitting! Tried to tighten it & it got way worse to the point I couldn't run the generator.
Glad I had the L.I.P.S. for a backup out at the...
Got the mount repaired over the past few days.
Spent the first day getting it all opened up. Some of these bolts are a big PITA to get at!
Drilled the 1/2in hole in a plate I had so it would make the most contact with what was left & then welded it. Not bad for my $80 harbor Freight Tools...
