    MEP-016B Injection Pump Jammed

I rebuilt & cleaned everything in the injection pump along with the fuel system. Generator starts right up now! Again, thanks for the help with this. VERY easy injection pump to service yourself.

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

I did try the XC mode before with no different result but I may try it again just to see. I didn't know of there being two different part numbers. Though, there have been 3 different wheel valves on that passenger rear & all have had the same issue so I'm thinking it is not a wheel valve issue.

The fuel bowls on these SUCK to bleed the air out of. I gave up on the screws on the two I worked on. Also, I found the arrow for the valve to be open was backwards or I just misunderstood it.

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

Removed the drivers side wheel valves to rebuild them. Even with PB Blaster, heat, and care, I still broke 3 of the 8 screws holding the wheel valves together. My friend took them to his machine shop to drill out & tap the holes. All fixed. Before I got them back, I had one spare valve. I...

It is a new, green controller. It was sold as a new controller only for A0 trucks. No modified sensor installed that I know of.

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

I have traced every single line from the compressor to the wheels to confirm they are clear by blowing them out individually. I doubt that anything is plumbed incorrectly because the system tries to do what it is supposed too. It will fill & deflate the tires. If it did not do that, I would...

Sounds like you h So, what might be happening is with your starting kicking out, you just aren't getting enough time to get the motor started up for a "first time" start. Sometimes when these are cold or haven't run in a while the sputter a bit & really need to keep cranking until the...

I just hope that I can get it figured out! Once I do, I plan to make an entire video on the CTIS for my YouTube. How it works, parts of the system, & troubleshooting.

With this being said, what I might do myself to keep the starter from cutting out is the remove the AC output wires from the output so the starter will not see the AC power start to be made. That way you can figure out your engine issue.

Okay, so that rules out fuel. Sorry if I am repeating anything here, but just putting my thought process out there. We for sure have 1 of 3 things then. Fuel. Now, do we have air & compression? Air should be an easy test. I see your air filter is off. Put your hand over the intake as you are...

    Mep831 help

It's hard to tell in the video, but it did show a sign of life! Have you tried pulling the linkage that sits in the little throttle lever & just getting the engine to start at full throttle with the thumb screw all the way down? The starter kicking out seems strange... That why it was cutting...

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

After talking with someone via PM a bit, I tried to remove the line from the controller under the dashboard when the wheel valves were stuck open & check for some leaking air that maybe was getting past the valves inside... nothing. Passenger side wheel valves stick open still. I made a fitting...

So, the airing down to SAND didn't change anything... I think. As suggested, I checked all the different parts along the way to the rear axle. It seems the quick release valve I replaced back there is malfunctioning, at least when blow testing. I'm having an issue where that quick release...

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

Spent a few hours after work today doing a few things suggested after my first update. I removed the line from the unit under the dash going to the wheels & put air to it with a compressor. The wheels were around 50psi. I could hear the wheel valves open then close... except the passenger...

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

I got some replacement diaphragms for the wheel valves & a complete rebuilt wheel valve. Still the same issue! As suggested, I tried setting the truck to XC but still, the same issue. I did go to the wheel valve on the tire that was leaking & was able to manually push it closed by using an...

So, I have been battling with my CTIS! Have a gremlin in there. Been getting some help from the Facebook group but wanted to post it here as well so others that are having problems may be able to read through my process to help themselves too. So, I got myself a new controller. Old one had...

After troubleshooting, let us know what you found! Even with the surging, you should still see voltage. Worst case is you have a good Yanmar L48AE & a frame. I've been waiting to get a spare Yanmar to make a diesel mini bike with. :)
