I really wish that you were not on such a compressed schedule this year. Please try to convince Mrs. Deb to come down and do Smore's with Lee and the boy's by the big fire on Saturday night. I'm sure I have cabin space that ya'll can sleep in as I rented out Kay's Keep which is right outside...
These are the only pictures I have of Tigger unfortunately. He was a heck of a man and I'm sure I speak for the whole crowd in saying that We Will Miss Him. I hope someone can save and print these pictures off and add them to the display. If anyone is game to do so, please do as I don't have...
I have a few pictures of Matt from about 2 or 3 years ago when he was trying to follow Ferro through some holes. He'd try them even after Ferro would have be drug out of them when he was piloting the M818 of Death as it came to be named. I sure hate that "Doc" will only be able to join us in...
The sign would probably work pretty good. I can say that so far this seems to be a real honest group of folks and most of the vendors are a fairly close knit group. Normally when I bring stuff to sell, I leave it with a vendor I know and I tell him what I would like to get for an item. If he...
Just now seeing this. Most of the MTVR manuals are on CD in the newer Interactive Electronic Technical Manual format. They did release some PDF type manuals when the trucks first come out. Let me look around when I get to work tomrrow and I may be able to help. I know I can get the IETM...
Do you have power being applied to the starter solenoid small wire? There is a relay on the driver's side frame rail that you could check as well. Honestly, you've likely got a bad starter solenoid on the starter itself. In the National Guard, we change out a starter on these trucks most...
If you haven't changed the hoses yourself, there is no telling how long they have been on the truck. Even on a rebuild, they tend to sit for years. They also tend to deteriorate at a more rapid than usual pace when they have paint overspray on them. I'd change the hoses and let it go.
mikeblac, my better half is very thorough and with the packing possibilities offered by an 8X12 bed that goes almost 6 feet in the air, I've never forgotten anything. Yes, there have been times that we overpacked and sometimes some items did not get used. The old saying, it's better to have it...
Can't wait for the Rally this year. I have a minor offer. Saturday night around the camp fire before the night trail ride, I will have cake, cupcakes and what not in celebration of my oldest boy's 8th Birthday. Technically his birthday is on the 7th but he's excited to share with his GA Rally...
Bump for the evening shift!!! They need nomination's of your trucks so they can get the voting started!!! All you need is a pic to upload and it's in!!! These votes go crazy and everyone has a chance to Win so nominate NOW!!!
$1045 after fees on a GL Auction truck about 5 years ago. I've spent money on maintenance, canvas, paint, a M105 trailer and it adds up to a point that I can't honestly count but it's a good truck and I love to drive it. Some people know the value of nothing and the price of everything. Mine...
My truck was actually never nominated this month and hopefully never will be again. It's one of the last CUCV's that is completely original and has been to 2 GA Rally's and to date has only 6,700 original miles. I got upset when it got it's tail whipped last month and I am out of the game...
And the loser was this!!! Probably the last CUCV to be shaken from the Caves in Norway. 2,164 miles when purchased from GL, about 6,700 or so now. This is why I stress, don't nominate something you care about. Many on here know the story of this truck and the child who loves it. You can find...
I was skeptical about competing with a tank but did pretty good against it all told. There is a pretty good electoral system on here but don't nominate anything you care about because you might get your feelings hurt somewhat. March forward and wait for someone to say "Platoon, HALT". Keep...
I'll check around to see if I could get it loaded out. I'll report back tomorrow. I used to do recoveries from this base since I work there but I've gotten stiffed a few times so I turn this work over to someone else who doesn't have a full time job on base but has access to the base.
Fluid around your master cylinder could be a leaking transmission output seal. Mine does just enough to ensure my master cylinder and air pack will never rust on that side but no so much that I have to top it off between oil changes. My master also was missing the line and only has one of...
I am talking about the steering link bar between the tires. However, if you think the tires are tucked in from the bottom to the top, that would mean that it's time to get some new kingpin bushings for your steering knuckles. It's not a bad job to replace those. The top ones can be a pain to...
If you've adjusted and bled brakes and you still have too much pedal travel, you may want to adjust the linkage between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. I learned this when putting a new master cylinder on a friends truck. Somehow mine went on without adjustment but you never know the...
1. You've indicated that your using a multimeter and that you also tried to ground the solenoid itself. That's a great start and it's refreshing to hear a new member on here post that they've already checked that far before asking a question. This may sound like a dumb question but when you...
