Definitely a nice way to do that job!
Back in the old days, and after becoming a shade tree mechanic, I worked in a nice shop with chain-falls with great big fans (no AC). Now days I use one of my wreckers to move and shuffle heavy parts around... No air moving unless the wind is blowing -...

Welcome to the Outfit!
I don't know for sure, but maybe you could look around on the islands for an auction site there? Getting to know somebody who could let you walk around and see what kind of condition the trucks are in could tell you a lot...

Good question to ask, but no worries. He is a great guy.
Cash or Checks.
There is something about transacting business that a lot of folks don't consider... All those free money transfer services COST the vendor or supplier.
Cash should be obvious. You either have it or you don't and...

I have what may be a silly question Karl... Do you have the old cap? Thinking that if you did, it isn't anything special. Not military specific. All you really need is to know what pressure "pound rating" the cap has.

Yes Sir. That is definitely the problem and no gasket is the solution.
Sounds like you have the right guy willing to solve your problem.
I am almost sure that Left Side GM Part# 12564565 and Right side – GM Part# 12564564 are what you need.

They have also accepted hoses from me at their office...

Pretty cool mule. You aughta post a picture or two - just for history's sake.
I remember going with my dad to pick up a 1971 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser down in the big city of Monroe. Seven miles on the odometer. Complete with a 455 Rocket to power it... And an 8-Track tape deck factory...

Neat. Having an industrial sewing machine definitely gives you more options than most of us!
And yeah, I'm sure you can find somewhere to spend money on your green / tan toys.

Heated water and a pressure washer... And lots of time. I am sure there are better ways, but like on a shampoo bottle - Rinse, Lather, Repeat. Doing whatever you can to bend a piece of pipe on the pressure washer to hit every possible angle to attack and eventually flush the rust. Maybe a...

If you have already verified the wiring path and checked for grounding issues as mentioned by others... I would guess that the SignalStat on the column (you mentioned the green blinking light) died. They either work or not. Could have been bounced down the highway enough to just fail...

No CDL Requirement in North Carolina if you are not "hauling for profit". If you are using these trucks for personal use definitely no special license required (here). I do have a Class A that I got forty years ago when I drove an over the road tractor.
