    servicing deuce injectors

Yeah, they took all the good solvents away years ago now. Said it would cause all kinds of harm to the human body. Just because I have two extra thumbs now doesn't mean it hurt me ! In fact it improved me ! As for that nasty rash that never goes away, well we won't talk about that. I would try...

Converting box to stake side flat bed

Just know that they are heavy little turds ! It takes at least two people to remove them. Three would be better.

Questions about driving a deuce in Washington state.

You don't need a CDL, and you can drive it with the factory bumpers. The biggest thing up here is insurance.

1951 Reo m35 gasser engine temperature

I still have two of these old beasts and soon they both will be gone. If I did decide to keep them though I was going to redesign the intake/exhaust system. Go with some homebuilt "headers" and some kind of intake that would take a two barrel "Holley" carburetor.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

You could but the switch would have to be able to carry a lot of current ! You also would have to run some seriously big cables to that switch too. Not worth it. Just fix the relay or replace it.

Any quality diesel fuel system cleaners?

If after you clean out the water separator and it still runs bad then try and bypass the F1 and F2 and then the A9 float switch like Guy mentioned.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

In all honesty I didn't want to see any fingers stuck up some hairy bung hole.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

You scored yourself a nice trailer there. Also showed good ingenuity in fixing the problem. [thumbzup]

1951 Reo m35 gasser engine temperature

Just like NDT said. All sounds normal. These engine ran hot. When I was an apprentice my journyman who trained me on gears had been in Korea. He said these engines couldn't go over the pass (Snoqualmie) without stopping several times to cool down. It has to do with the basic engine design as...

Any quality diesel fuel system cleaners?

I love "BioBore" ! Out here in the Pacific Northwest algae is a constant problem.

Any quality diesel fuel system cleaners?

Good advice KennyO. Micro leaks can be a pain in the A$$ to find. Most likely though it's his filters causing the problem here. Due to the crud sealing up the filter media and then releasing due to pressure build-up, then sealing up again. Rinse and repeat. I bet once he replaces the filters it...

The Centipede aka my new 1988 m35a2c

I've never had really good luck with rust removers in general. They always seem to leave that little bit in the corners. A good sandblasting though gets all that nasty rust out !

    MEP-803A Cranks, wont start.

What I was trying to explain to you is, an engine that is rusted tight or "seized" will never be good. An engine that is just carboned up with a little rust thrown it can be salvaged sometimes. If you have been able to free up an engine that was totally rusted up (seized) and it runs good...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Don't sell yourself short. With age comes experience. I can do jobs faster then many young pups can, simply because I know "what" needs doing and "how" it needs to be done. I still remember trying to show these young mechanics how to change out the transmission and motor mounts on this one...

At least you tried. That is more then most can say. That makes you a "sheepdog" and not a "sheeple" . Sheeple just follow, the sheepdogs get things done.
