Humvee 6.5L engine block coolant plug

If your 1025A2 engine is a GEP, maybe that drain is something that AM General fixed that GM did not have set up very well on the GM blocks pre-2000.

M38 Hood numbers. Need an experienced eye!

I think it might be 201011575. If so, your hood got switched at some point. I would use what is on the Jeep now, not the calculated number, seems more correct even though it may be wrong.

I think the spacers are 1/4” x 2”, just to provide a base for the fifth wheel above the frame rivets.

    M38A1 questions

Definitely worth a look. Yes the '64's were USMC and had lockers supposedly. The V6 is easily undone and the setup with bellhousing adapter etc will be in demand by someone building a flat fender CJ. Plenty of F134 engines around still. Edit: other USMC specific items are the "airlift"...

    Anybody recognize this "Pickle" Forklift?

Anybody that has a pickle forklift with the 4BT upgrade, be advised the fuel solenoid is 12 volts, I put 24 to it and nearly caught the thing on fire when the solenoid and harness burned up. EDIT: BAD INFO above, the solenoid is 24 volts, stupid me jumped the pull in wire to constant volts...

    Simp's M915A1 Build Thread

Nope not a RRAD install. Remember when during the Gulf Wars, the army came out with a version of the Red Dot HMMWV A/C unit for the 915s. It was 100% 24 volt including those two pancake fans. DUH that promptly burned out all the transformer/rectifier alternators on these trucks and led to the...

    I'm new to Deuce world.

That is the chassis vent, all the gear cases and axles vent to that point, and yes, supposed to have filter material in there. I just looked at the LO and nothing real special about it, 85W90 gear oil in the axles and transfer, good EP grease in the zerks and wheel bearings.
