New kid on the block from the UK

. Hi Daren and Welcome to the Outfit! If you haven't already found them, we have the TM's (Technical Manuals) here for easy downloading. They are really useful when you run into a problem. Lots of flow charts and parts lists... Post up a new thread for yourself in the "Current Conflict"...

    3126 w/ABS vs 3116

. So sad but so TRUE... And none of them are worth the powder it would take to solve the problem.

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

. There is a pretty good post here that explains what you need to know - along with warnings about what will happen if you release that bolt where the big bubble is in your picture (without the caging bolt in place). This is a 2015 vintage thread, but there is a LOT of good information in it...

    U.S.M.C gun trucks?

. Pretty amazing that a search brings up nothing about the USMC and War Wagons. No pictures that don't have US Army on anything I hunted down... I did find the books by Jame Lyles. The Hard Ride, Vietnam Gun Trucks, James Lyles, Planet Art, 2002, ISBN 971-93037-1-9 The Hard Ride, Vietnam...

M1082 Spring brake valve leaking air...is it rebuildable

. After the air tanks are filled, you should have "dead quiet" in the system. Maybe take a picture of where the sound is coming from and hopefully we can get the leaking part identified. It may be that the tank wasn't drained regularly and some rust and scale could be blocking the sealing points.

Best gen set for home backup.

. All I have is 2nd Hand information, but it may be worth researching... I've heard that the light tower gensets don't generate power as "cleanly" and other dedicated sets. Not a big deal if computers aren't involved. May not matter but investigating that possibility AND deciding exactly what...

Best gen set for home backup.

. Homes are single phase. At least here in the states. Building the foundation with "air" between the foundation for the garage and the foundation for your generator room is a good plan. Helps isolate (vibrations) the generator from the rest of the house. You don't want to die in the event...

    M37 tool question

. Do it again... It's been sitting for a long time. No need to hurry it now. I know. We all want the new toy to work RIGHT NOW, but pushing or rushing it now might cost more than some more penetrating oil or Marvel Mystery Oil.

    Roof drips water.

. Need to know what kind of file you need to "feed" your cutter with. Guessing that it connects to a PC maybe? Lots of things like that will "eat" DXF files. If that is so, there are a lot of different programs that can create that file type. If you need something to test with, let somebody...
