. That could be true... Hadn't given that enough thought. Still, it might be worth asking - or maybe a local starter repair shop.

AFAIK) blowing hydraulic fluid out of reservoir when raising the cab with Air.

. Is your leak up behind the cab - blowing a mist?

. Wow. Nice looking truck. Current Bid @ 10am on 12/15 is $12,553.00 Minimum $100 increment

. You show being in Virginia... What about taking the starter to a local Advance Auto or maybe AutoZone for testing? I wouldn't expect anything more than "good" or "bad" in that testing, but at least it would be worth a try - without throwing money at it.

. I wish I had some magic answers. Sounds to me like the fields in the starter are weak - but without the tools to test with - it's just guesswork. The lack of a heavy electrical draw kinda says that is the problem - but is no more than a guess.

. It might be worth a trip to a line shop and have a foot or so cut off and replace the hose ends. There are "skive" hose ends that allow you to do that at home (in your shop) too if you spend the time to find them. Much better than scrapping all 20/30 feet...

. Maybe unbolt the starter then with a pair of jumper cables - hook the positive to the big bolt and then touch the tail of the starter. It should spin like mad. BE SURE TO STAND ON IT so it doesn't jump away from you! The bendix and be made to engage too, but this is a cheap quick test...

    New Guy from NY

. Nobody wants to do it, but think about these trucks and how they are treated in the service. If it is raining when the GI gets out of the truck - chances are good that the windows were rolled up. It it was a hot clear day, the windows are down. When the rain comes, nobody goes running out...

. Other thing is to slow cook the batteries. They have been sitting around for who knows how long - and a good slow charge might bring them back from the dead. Other choice would be to remove them and drag them to a store that has equipment to load test them for you. These trucks need good...

Rebuilding after 15 years of storage

    . Wow that looks nice!

. I think that is what was happening... A veteran member was being called out for not conforming

. PC, Mac, or Mac phone or Android Phone download? Some of the links here forward you to a GoogleDocs site in some cases. Don't hesitate to copy paste a link that you are trying to download - and we will go test. I personally clicked on several in the post I did earlier and they worked...

    FAV engine rebuild

. Well dang... Makes you wonder why something so neat could be so fouled up. Private Snuffy wouldn't generally be working on stuff like this. At least - based on your latest post - I think I woud have to agree. Put the power plant back together on the cheap and go have fun!

    M1087 Aquired

. Sounds like most LMTV's to me. They ride like a buckboard. Or any other vehicle with four square wheels... It doesn't take a lot to make it ride better

    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

. Sounds like the tongue would be like a Pole Trailer where the inside slides out and gets pin'd and then collapses when you want it short again. Maybe we had "old stuff" but it required a good driver - who could creep along - and a second human to have the pin ready to drop in place. Some...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

. Hey Owen, But the good news is that Brutus fired up and made you smile... Now that it is cold weather again, you might have to wait until spring to do any maintenance. Happy to hear that your old green pal is still chugging along.

    M37 tool question

. Welcome to the Outfit! I see that you got a response from @kendelrio as he is working to rebuild his M37. Heck of a nice guy and always more than willing to help. Another thing you can find here are the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your truck. They are a great source for troubleshooting...
