I don't follow this too closely, the 715zone guys would know, but last I saw for sale, seller was asking $500. All the brush truck conversions are missing the tailgate.

If the trans controller is not powered, cranking is inhibited. I would send the controller to transmissioninstruments.com for evaluation and repair if needed. Check the connectors on the unit for looseness when you pull it.

That started life as a pickup truck bed on a M715 cargo truck, 1967-68. The tailgate is worth a small fortune and is in high demand.

The problem is caused by the reduction cone clutch sticking. If you don't use low range, the cone should not get stuck. The "acts like park" is the high and low range applying at the same time due to the stuck clutch.

Sounds like a 100% electrical issue with the gauges, the sending units, or most likely, disconnected wires between the two.

Toss all of it in scrap. If your pump is no good, and neither is the clutch, all you would gain are the fasteners.
