I really think you need a pan gasket set. Try NAPA, application: Reo Motors OA331. Or try some of the old school surplus dealers such as White Owl. I know the gaskets are out there.
The Mil 100 amp alternator is a fine, very reliable unit. I am surprised you are having trouble finding a regulator for it. I try to equip all my trucks with this set up, it is more reliable than the 60 amp unit.
I suspect since the M939 series passed the punishing TACOM testing in the early 80's, AM General told Uncle "this is your problem, it passed acceptance testing". Lots of soldiers lost their lives over this design flaw.
I would suggest an Allison authorized service center if you want to do a transmission service, and a big rig lube shop or Cat dealer for the engine. The wheel lug nut size is 1.5", the usual size.
Wow 1800 miles through some tough country. My 1078 is a 98 model and I have been debugging it for months now. The batteries in yours are probably Hawker AGMs. Mine took weeks to bring back to life. So you better plan on changing those. The posts are the same, but civi batteries are too tall...

I DA sanded my CARC painted HMMWV in an enclosed unventilated garage 20 years ago and I neither got sick then or subsequently. I used no PPE whatsoever. Sounds like they firm quoted you and now the job is taking too long and they want out. I would bring the truck home and sand it myself.
