Ron is spot on. Looks like a short wheelbase 352 to me. The back of the frame is cut off either way. Not a difficult fix, only required if you want to make it back into a cargo truck. You would need a donor truck for the back of the frame. (I have a bare frame)

Possibly you are getting small particles in the fuel supply that are getting stuck under the float needle, holding it open, causing the flood. Try adding an inline filter right before the carb.

Funny, I have that exact same trailer. The only thing I could ever find on it is this listing in TM9-2800. The chassis has more in common with the WWII Ben Hur 1 ton trailer than the M105s. I installed a modern jack on it.
