I washed it.
This one is the ranch workhorse.
Not pretty but solid.
New reflectors, tailgate handles and chains w/covers, new tail lights.
Brakes work great and fluid was pristine. New reservoir cap also
Side racks are new. Only on temporary.
My other one I restored and is all original...
USA1 industries calls it Mahogany.
I bought one of their dashes painted to match the CUCVs color.
Recommend you stay away
Dash didn't fit like original as they claimed it would.
I did a review of it. A search will find it.
Their is a place in California that will refinish your original...
Did your Alternator zap your Power Control Box?
If your alternator is original they are known to fry components.
A bad PCB will allow no electricity in the cab.
Not sure if the starter is related or just a coincidence.
I only mentioned the helos because of the need, like our trucks, to keep things warm in the first place instead of dealing with the trucks cold soaked.
Its easier to start a 5 ton when its been plugged in. (if a block heater is installed).

If there's a clear path for the forks to slide underneath and not hit anything sliding under or when raising up, then by all means do that.
Using a 2x4 or 2x6 as a fork prop will tell you if there will be any issues.

Just like the trucks, push it hard when cold soaked and you will have problems.
The point of the earlier post was to keep things warm, when able, in the first place.
Do you have a trans temp gauge installed?
Very easy to do.
If you do a lot of 4 wheeling or pull trailers a lot I recommend installing one.
Along with a cooler.
