What did you do to your trailer today.

I washed it. This one is the ranch workhorse. Not pretty but solid. New reflectors, tailgate handles and chains w/covers, new tail lights. Brakes work great and fluid was pristine. New reservoir cap also Side racks are new. Only on temporary. My other one I restored and is all original...

Looking for the correct color interior for M1009

USA1 industries calls it Mahogany. I bought one of their dashes painted to match the CUCVs color. Recommend you stay away Dash didn't fit like original as they claimed it would. I did a review of it. A search will find it. Their is a place in California that will refinish your original...

    No Power in Cab M925A1

Did your Alternator zap your Power Control Box? If your alternator is original they are known to fry components. A bad PCB will allow no electricity in the cab. Not sure if the starter is related or just a coincidence.

    M923A2 Cold Start

I only mentioned the helos because of the need, like our trucks, to keep things warm in the first place instead of dealing with the trucks cold soaked. Its easier to start a 5 ton when its been plugged in. (if a block heater is installed). It morphed into Helicopter Cold Weather Operations...

    AMTECH Helmet Hardtop for M1101 / M1102

Ok I would not own one. Could buy 4 or 5 S-250 shelters for that price.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

    That is quite a jump.

    AMTECH Helmet Hardtop for M1101 / M1102

You will have to call and find that out yourself. I'm sure they're not cheap. But they look very well built. They do not offer one for the M101A2-3 trailers. This company anyway If they did, I would own one.

    M1009 Transmission Barfed from Dipstick

Thats it. Yes on length I don't know if it comes off. A short stout piece of wire to insert and make sure it's not clogged.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I laughed out loud on that one. Only someone who owns a 5 ton would get that joke.

    M1009 Transmission Barfed from Dipstick

Maybe you got lucky and didn't hurt anything. I would still change fluid and filter. Also install a trans temp gauge and cooler.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

He will when it's time to mow

    M916

Want to really pull your hair out?! Read ALL the old threads in "5 ton" and "CUCV" like I have done. Every single one. Its absolutely amazing how many redundant threads and questions there are. Obvious very quickly when someone has done ZERO research and just posted questions because they...

Surely you have pics of that?!

    Forklifting a M1082A1

If there's a clear path for the forks to slide underneath and not hit anything sliding under or when raising up, then by all means do that. Using a 2x4 or 2x6 as a fork prop will tell you if there will be any issues. Use a sheet of plywood between the trailer and forklift back rack to prevent...

    M1102 soft top refurbish

Even the faded ones look good when wet. How does it look in the sunlight? Aerosol or brush? Brand? Did you use paint designed for vinyl?

    S-788 in M101A3?

That looks smaller than a S-250

    M923A2 Cold Start

I know nothing about jets. Been flying helos for over 28 years. Want to get technical, we can over in another forum. Just like the trucks, push it hard when cold soaked and you will have problems. The point of the earlier post was to keep things warm, when able, in the first place.

    M1009 Transmission Barfed from Dipstick

Do you have a trans temp gauge installed? Very easy to do. If you do a lot of 4 wheeling or pull trailers a lot I recommend installing one. Along with a cooler.
