Yes I have been back in that jungle and it's simply mind boggling.
Flying over even more so because you can see more.
Absolute shame to tear up all that good equipment or leave it to rot.
Was just relaying about the GP yard.
The actual point of the thread was the fact that lots of trailers...
Picked up a newly acquired M101A2.
Yard was packed. Tons of SEEs (40+) and lots of trailers too
What was surprising is the number of trailers that were sold 3 months ago and are STILL there.
I recognized almost all the M101 trailers from the last time I was there in September.

The saw in the pic was about to be used to trim branches because a Hi-Cube shipping container was inbound.
That part of the ranch I'm kinda making my MV yard. Old pic since 40 tons of gravel has since been laid there.
I do NOT cut RR ties at all. Too hard on equipment. Yes a 5 ton in the...
The TOW wires are a huge flight hazard when flying low. NOE
When going into a new AO, one of the first things you do is mark your maps where TOWs have been fired.
That wire is almost impossible to see during the day.
Forget it completely under goggles.
We had a bird come back one night with...
Almost 3500 lbs
M1008A1
Handled load no sweat
Power was good for the load.
Plenty of brake also.
Once you realize what they are and what they are not, life is easier.
If I need to handle heavier or bigger loads, I use my 06 LBZ duramax.
5 ton gets the heaviest work (gravel).
Its 24...
LOL, No I won't forget.
The Delco unit is awesome.
Alternator and new bracket were very well packaged.
Will have to paint new bracket later. Was too cold and I needed truck fixed asap.
M925A2 was hooked up to my M989A1 and parked in a very inconvenient spot when old alternator fried...
Look at the new ones and you will see what the end looks like.
It does take some effort, but shouldn't be like what your describing.
If all else fails, go to a pull-apart salvage yard and practice with a junker so you don't screw up your turn signal switch.
It's kinda like a key at the end
Push and turn at same time and it should just come right out.
Can't remember which way to turn but it was very easy.
I found a NOS factory GM turn signal lever on eBay.
For a whopping $15 shipped.
Was exact match.
I think ACDelco still makes one.
Would...
I never noticed them either.
Wouldn't have thought twice about it if it was still there.
Sure notice it now that it's gone.
Surprising how difficult, so far impossible, it is to find just a part number.
Hopefully Dogheads spare will work. Looks like it will fit just fine.
Not sure of original purpose.
Almost every data plate has been painted over.
Haven't tried to save them yet.
Its clearly a factory peephole.
Wasn't an afterthought.
Small rubber flap on inside of door, to cover peephole, is still there.
You can tell it was done at factory.
Door looks...
Looks like bracket is bent.
Maybe you have it loose.
Replaced mine a few months ago.
Bought on Amazon
Acdelco part and it was made in the USA and marked as such on both the box and part.
Works perfect.
