I've seen semis driving with trailer wheels on fire and throwing flaming pieces of rubber until they finally notice it.
It could have been much worse.
If they sit in the sun they are an oven for sure.
Mine sits in the shade just enough.
So far the temps inside have been the same as outside.
Now they the angle of the sun is changeing it catches some sun now, but the daily temps are much cooler.
Checked it two days ago and temps were good...

The container I have my trucks stored in have 4 factory vents on each side. They vent but will keep rain water out even in a bad storm.
No issues with condensation at all.

Bought a M101A2 to use behind M1008A1
Some surface rust and no rot.

I would bet that a good cleaning and new grease as mentioned on the joints will help a ton.
Totally agree on the WD40. Perfect for lots of things. Horrible for lots of things.
Cleaned mine and some good lithium grease on joints and replaced unit with a rebuilt ACdelco one.

You can tell this trailer was made at the factory with all the racks.
Close to 150lbs worth.
Lots of holes in it now that their removed.
Sideboards are in excellent condition. Was surprised to find the teak wood under the CARC.

Installed new bearings/Races and seals in it today. Also installed new trailer power cord and brand new military tail lights.
The only thing wrong with it was it needs a new brake fluid reservoir cap. Will be here Monday.
Picked this up Monday.
Trailer stencils indicated it was from a Signal Brigade.
It had a lot of strange racks on the sideboards and 4 big floor racks for who knows what.
Any idea what these were for?

Could you post the brand and part numbers that you went with on the bushings?
Would be nice to have a sticky of all the Urethane rubber replacement parts and numbers.
