Amazon carries a ton of Acdelco and Delphi parts and has free shipping over $49.
Excellent return policy.
Rochauto also has very good prices but no free shipping.
You get what you pay for.
It all depends on your wallet and if you don't mind replaceing the same part over and over.
Im personally done with cheap parts.
Sure.....lifetime warranty. But what do you save if you have to keep replacing same part becaise it doest last as long as a better...
Installed two new acdelco horns ( A note and C note)
New relay
NOS horn parts in steering wheel and still no horn.
Turns out it was the turn signal switch inside the steering column.
All checked good with a multimeter but the horn contact button was shorting out in the right conditions...
I bought the red led replacement bulbs and couldn't see
anything at night. Not enough light
Went back with regular bulbs and all is good.
Wrong color I guess
True!
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
4 MVs, 1 car, 3 pickups and RV, 1 ranch and etc I've been using a lot.
Works great on electric fence also.
Overkill supply I know, but I got a really good deal on a surplus supply. Bought all the seller had.
ACDelco still makes one of course.
That's what I replaced mine with.
Amazon has best price on it.
I would rather have that than some no name China crap. Lifetime warranty or not.
Don't care if it's more $$
You bet!
Im glad I found out about it! Stuff is better than plain dielectric grease for sure.
I noticed it holds up better to heat also. Still has a melting point but doesn't get as "fluid" if that makes sense.
Ive been using it on everything. Just did my RV battery connections.
Replacing...
Installed NOS fender splash shields.
Put on a factory Detroit diesel logo plate on each valve cover. (I know Chevy didn't put these on)
Applied more NO-OX-ID electrical grease to wire sockets and grounds. I Do this almost every day.
Fixed broken bench seat back. Drivers side. Lower Tube had...
I would not take the truck with you. At least for now.
On something like that, they can seize it until/if things are worked out like mentioned earlier.
Take photos or whatever else you need to.
Good luck
How much are you wanting to spend?
Are you wanting a plow truck that has been "modified" or a true unmolested M1008?
With the plow and more importantly a different engine, etc it's not worth, in my opinion, any more than a regular C/K gas truck.
It doesn't have really much value as a M1008...
I've been using the NO-OX-ID (A Special) electrical grease ever since I found out about it a few weeks ago.
It's like dielectric grease but also has stuff in it that actually fights and penetrates corrosion.
Military uses it and I bought several surplus 8oz tubes.
Any connection I touch...
