    Can't believe it.

Well I lined up the stud with the best part of the muffler bearing and tighten it down. They say Back in Black but I am happy with Green.

    Can't believe it.

Well got a use Alt. coming for 300 but took this apart to sea. It's a carriage bolt that must have come loose and cause arcing. Think I will try and line it up good and tighten up the stud again and sea if it will work. If so then I have a spare. The two bolts on on the pic shows the arced and...

    Can't believe it.

Well almost made it but as Allen said the alternator stud is loose but did not fall all the way out. Home now and gave it a good try doing 2594 miles of the trip. The governor was set at 1900 rpm and not at 2100. That only gave me 54mph then the engine problem kicked in. Some how the engine over...

Filling front Planetary hub (wheel end assembly) with oil

All the hub kits I have they all had Loctite in the box so one would think that's what the bolts call for. If you tap on the cross with the hub still on then both should come off as one. After you clean the cross don't forget to put a little grease on the hub shim and thrust bearing so they stay...

Filling front Planetary hub (wheel end assembly) with oil

A light tap with a brass hammer and the cover will come off. Sometimes by it's self sometimes the whole cross and gears come with it. If the cross/gears stays in the spindle should stop it from falling to the ground. If the gears/cross drop out to no worries they don't fall apart. If your is...

    Air dryer replacement for sure.

Yep that's a lot of time and probably no miles for me. They are a up grade from the old units on the FMTV. I will be putting one on the M915A2 when I get her home.

    hub torque spec. M35A2

I don't and have never seen one bent over inner nut. Not saying it would not hurt but the jam nut is very important. I only bend one tab so I can use the other unused tabs next time.

    Can't believe it.

I even got the tachograph key. Yea not going through the lower side Ray. I80 and temps look like 86* for the day in Oregon. Good thing the truck has vent wings I can open. A good inspection of truck and double check front tires for any signs of dry riot and stamp date. If the look like they...

Did we have a crossover parts list ? Main thing for me to recover the truck would be all filters numbers and belts. Tanks

    Can't believe it.

No not yet. Now I need a SS member in Oregon that has seven 395 tires or 1400's with 6 combat wheels and I might be able to get home this year. New plan NDT said just tire change so I will get a new set of tubeless wheels and 24.5 tires out there and just sweat it out

    Can't believe it.

Yea I need to do a gear change it both rears for sure. Then I can run my new 11R24.5 tires at highway speeds for extended times. It's says 4:56 to 1 and that's not going to be fun. If I could find a shop in Or. I would have them change out the gears before I left there. What would be a better...
