Sounds like the best plan is to quit standing and start crawling - under the truck that is... Silly as it sounds, I believe that is the only real answer to the problem that I have. I just don't quite have the "umph" left in me today to crawl under that thing. Hopefully tomorrow will be the...
Welcome from North Carolina!!
Welcome to the green toy repository! Lots of good info here, lots of helpful folks and WE LOVE PICTURES! Maybe snap a few of your new-to-you toy so the rest of us con Ohhh and Ahhh over it :)
Congratulations on starting a new hobby!

There are 6 wires into my battery box. All appear to be "factory" or at least made at the same time in the same place. NATO is two (I am ignoring those for the moment)
I definitely have the 4 wires that you see in the picture. I swear. I'm not making it up... I am just guessing two...
Agreed and that is one of my big concerns. Continuity meter reads that cable as going to ground. And yes, It won't reach any post other than the far back left (positive battery terminal).
Maybe "the stupids" were attacking me this morning and I should go meter it again...
I have had several postings about this. Today I am as close as I have been yet, but still not functional. Picture is attached that I used to make my battery connections.
I have FOUR WIRES into the battery box. I metered all of them and two come back as ground. IE: I had one end of the...
Yessir... Good plan and it keeps the dirt dobbers from building a news in the end of your petcock too! Nice. Next time that job will take less time and be more enjoyable to do.
.
So, I can't speak to the two battery plan from personal experience. I do know for sure that the battery box on my M1088a1 (the plastic piece that the batteries sit on) will "wedge fit" 4 Series 124R batteries. Very snug left to right - no slop at all! Almost like a custom fit.
Generally...
If you have a burning desire to know what is in your oil - other than oil - or to confirm that it was simply overfilled, you can gather a sample and send it off for analysis.
Blackstone Laboratories, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You can search for them online, fill out a form and they will...
Definitely a cool recovery!! Nice pictures too. Most likely that is about as close to New York City as I will ever be... I am a little surprised though. To hear the media tell the story, everything in New York is shut down because of this chinese virus. That traffic doesn't look like a...

Welcome to the site too. There are TM's for your trailer. How to inspect the brakes and other important things like that. Be sure to use them - and if you need advise - there are a bunch of folks here with trailers of all shapes and sizes!
Owen,
I believe you clearly stated the problem with the youth of today. Sad part is it isn't the kids fault that their parents (the droopy drawers crowd) didn't see fit to MAKE them do something to help out around the house. I remember getting an allowance when I was a youngster. I...
JD4044M that sucks. Pure plain and simple. I sure hope they can do something to improve your air intake...
As for the leaky tire, best plan is a bit of Joy dish soap in gallon jug to squirt around the bead and valve stem. It will at least get you close to seeing where the leak is coming...
I would love to do that. Sad part is we were here inside the building. Motion sensors and a horn seems like a heck of a plan. If you have part numbers or pictures or scribbles even - I would be happy to spend my time setting it up. I already considered an electric fence arrangement here and...
It is perfect! Thank you!! My truck is here and work - and for some reason - we are covered up so I may not be able to report in until later tonight. This looks a LOT more like what I have...
Thanks again!
Tim
.
Thank you. A picture would definitely be appreciated. I may have the answer. I dragged everything back inside a while ago. Figure tomorrow is a new day. Got a couple of things that I have to do early and hoping to get back to it around eleven tomorrow morning.
Hopefully the pancreas...
Welcome from North Carolina!
It looks to me like you have a good truck on your hands. A little work, drive it a little, work a little... That little bit of driving - even around the block a few times will keep you motivated.
Nothing like the green iron for a hobby. Fun and excitement and...
So... As I stood there grumbling I figured out that I can rotate the batteries 90 degrees and they fit tightly into the plastic tray. Better than before.
Just still concerned about doing something Stooopid and burning up the 12v circuit by applying 24v to it.
New picture is below
