I am talking about driving on the road at correct speeds not just creeping along. Yes I only use low range when on soft ground or in the yard. First gear is a granny gear and used when the ground will suck the power and you need to just get out to hard ground before you even think of shifting...
Help save your Transfer case wear by shifting if need when stopping by shifting from high to low just as you are coming to the stop but wheels still turning just a bit. I feel the worse thing you can do to your transfer case is think you can go from high 5th to low 5th or think you know how to...
If you want 2 micron then after market housing and filter if you can live with 6 micron and stock housing final filter housing just use the one for Detroit Diesel that fits our housing. NAPA # 33540. I like that I can step down from 10 to 6 micron with the stock housing starting at the primary...
As Will said check that rubber. Are you cracking the bleed screw on the secondary filter to remove the air after filter change or are you getting air in the system after just running?
The best way to turn over the motor is with the transmission in 5th transfer case in neutral and just bar over the jack shaft. No need to remove radiator support or hose to get to the crank nut.
I do not know if they would run better with a little advancement. They will run real good just getting a pyro and turning the fuel up. I have run the inner nut till it bottomed out turning up the fuel to it's real max. The smoke never cleared and there are less mosquito's around plus the...
Got the Toyota Supra seats installed in the M1088 MTV and just have to prep the cab floor and paint. Put the padding back and move on to the next problem. Think who ever took the dang truck mudding and milked the rear axle it might have caused a bearing/race to go FUBAR. Thing is it is so easy...
What if what they call the timing button was just different thickness and would not affect timing per say. BUT! Would a thinner button allow the plunger to sit lower on the down stroke of the tappet but deliver more CC shot?
Jason do you still have the button from the LDS head?
My thought on the injectors was maybe the LDS also runs more advanced timing. If the button is really a timing button then it would seem we could advance a degree or so. The buttons on the 90100A HH I have seen is a 03 and don't know what timing button is on a LDS head. Think there was a thread...
Anything helps. The last report two cycle was just real high on the list. I go to the Gainesville dump and as they have recycled oils and paints you can have if you use it. I have found almost full Gal. of two stroke.
Motor oil in unopened bottles I grab fast too.
I don't agree on just two stroke. Look at how much cetane level has gone down since the 70/80's . 40 is what the pump says now and believe the level was 50 back then. I only use Stanadyne in anything I run.
Thanks for not rubbing my face in it Rusty for as many times I rode your azz and did not even at least pull your hair is was nice too see your post. I can use any excuse I want but I clearly did not think on the post about rotation. Stupid thing is I had a new Head right in my hand when I post...
The sleeve is the correct term not the control collar but some of you know me. Old and on drugs. Would be interesting to know when the fire really begins in the combustion cycle. Or how far up the cylinder is to set the fuel off. Looking from a gas engine stand point if the spark does not...
