Are you are sure both your timing marks are on and the HH is one tooth to the rear. Then do a pressure test. In tank pump close or over 4 psi. Idle 30 psi. and 2000 rpm 60 or over psi. Is the FDC bypassed? Get all that done then tweek fuel on the IP with pyro.

Yea Rusty I did just about the same thing years ago. I put a smaller unit on the tank and line that just feeds the air pack. At least yours protects all the tanks and feeds.

The Head removal is not hard and I am betting on the button. Now there was a thread where the delivery valve spring was broken and that corrected the hard starting problem. There is also the overflow valve that can cause hard starting problems but I have never seen a thread with the problem...
