When the truck is cold both my gen 2 light works and also my volt meter. After the truck warms up. Both of them stop working. Alternator is good And wiring is good. I’m thinking it has to do with the relays by the starter or the gen 2 diode behind the cluster. Anyone else have this problem?
M929a1. Only does this in the summer Or when it’s hot out.
my truck runs great, starts up great, but will not idle for more than 1-2 minutes, it dies like there is an air leak. It dies every time I go to the landfill waiting to go onto the scales. When it dies I try to start it back up and...
I believe my switch is broken. It won’t send the signal to spin the starter. Also while I was diagnosing it I noticed there are 3 terminals in the starter what is the 3rd one for?
just wonder if anyone had luck drilling out their starter and running 7/16 bolts for their starter. i really wish people knew how to work on these trucks instead of throwing Chinese junk starters on them and not run the rear bracket. I tapped the block and ran engine mount bolts in its place...
I have searched and can’t find any pictures of floor pan replacement. I’m looking for pictures of the floors panels installed under the seats and right behind the seats. Anyone have any Picts or a good link to a thread?
All of a sudden my turn signal decided not to work anymore. They we’re working perfect Then just quit.
Here is what I have done with my truck latley.
full leds except for the front bulbs so there is resistance/ all bulbs blink like they should with hazards on.
led hd flasher and switched with...
Got a new to me 929. All exterior lights work except for the headlights. No high beam or low beam. No voltage at any of the prongs. Weird thing is when I set my meter to resistance it’s ringing out between ground and I believe pin #17 at the headlight. Anyone have this problem? Maybe bad...
I have a m929a1. My title says it’s a 2009. When the town registered it they must have used the rebuild tag date located at the drivers door sill. I looked on side of my axles and all were I think dated mid 84. Does this make sense? An 84 or 85? Tag on dash is blank.
So my oil pressure gauge has been pegged on my mep802a. I believe it’s pegged because of the sending unit and not the gauge. I’m guessing it’s the round sensor that looks like a regular old Chevy 350 one. Any one have any leads on these? The ones online are crazy priced from GMG. Has anyone...
Can I slave my mep802 off my cucv with out batteries in the generator? I know your not supposed to do it with the older generators, but have not read anything about the newer ones. I would just leave the cables connected while it's running.
I can already tell this will not end up well. I'm pretty sure the heads are going to snap right at the cylinder head. Can I heat up the head a little with a torch to expand and loosen it up?
On 120v only I'm getting 60v each on L1+L2. This is putting a meter on the ground stud and terminals. I'm not great with electrical but I'm thinking this is wrong.
