Back to 24V conversion glow plug question

You do not need to replace the resistor. It lowers the voltage to the glowplugs to 12v. Just make sure that your glowplugs are fed from 12v when you switch back. Right next to the glowplug solenois is a good spot to jump the 12v off. My truck is still 24v, but I removed the resisitor and fed...

Sold a 1031, titling issues with new buyer, need advise.

Does the SF97 have govliquidation as the purchaser or is it Skark? If it is Skark, he can reassign the sf97 to the new purchaser. If not, it might be worth a call to govliq to see if they would issue a reassignment.

    Warn PN64402 or Powerplant on 84 M1009

The rope and hook are 1/2" braided synthetic line. I bought it from a guy in florida that owns a hummer pimp-out shop. I cannot remember the shop name, but very few people had 1/2" synthetic. The steel cable I pulled off was over 75 pounds. It was rediculous! The base is just the warn...

1991 Suburban front grill on a CUCV

The problem is the parking lights. Both years used one wire to power the high beams and one wire to power the low beams. These wires are the same colors from both years and you can connect them right together. The 91 uses an extra parking light, so it has 2 dark blue and 2 light blue wires...

Looking for solar panel and inverter opitons

I have a Powerbright 900 watt 24 volt to 110 inverter for my 1008. I just clip it to the batts when I need to run my 1/2" hammerdrill at work. I use it in tandem with my robodrill for projects. I am going to upgrade to the 3500 watt/7000 surge unit soon. I will probably mount it in my...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I finally did the doghead realy mod. Since I had all of my wiring junk out I added a 7 circuit Painless Wiring panel under the dash to run the stereo, 200 watt inverter, and 12volt power port that I built into another STE/ICE plug.

I have a pile of stuff in the basement that belongs on the 1008 and finally got motivated to start installing. I finished my black, gray, and white camp spray paint job. Added a new black head liner and interior trim that was bought for 30 bucks from the junkyard and painted flat black...

thinking about doing black white and grey camo

thinking about doing black white and grey camo

I started my camo painting today. So far its 4 cans of flat white, 3 cans of grey, and 6 cans of flat black. That gets the wheel wells, bedsides, tailgate, and rear bumper. The walmart $.96 flat paint is pretty good. I use a krylon with a fan tip to top coat

I have a bunch of paint sitting in the garage just waiting to paint my 1008. I am going with white, gray, and black in the same pattern as the woodland that is currently on the truck. If it ever cools down a notch, I can get spraying.
