Ive been fighting with this truck since day 1. I always think i got it fixed and then something else goes. I'm sorry, its just very frustrating.

I would have left it alone, but the factory alternators exploded so i figured it would have been easier to convert it to 12V

It has to do with my alternator not charging. and no i dont have one.

I just used the plugs were the prievus alternator was on the passenger side. its an advance auto alternator. and what do you mean you missed me lol

Oh yea i'm only running one alternator now.

Ok, I have a M1008 that i have converted to 12 Volts. New starter and new alternator, made my own glow plug system, and rewired the batteries. However, The alternator will not charge. I tested the alternator with no wires hooked up and the engine running and it tested fine. As soon as i wired it...

I kind of like the service light switch except when i for get to turn it on lol. My black out light switch never worked and doesnt stay locked in place lol. I'm sure theres a way to bypass the switch and have lights like a normal truck lol:?:

The Gen 1 light has come on before but it doesnt stay on like Gen 2. If i may ask what would i be looking at if i rechaged the batterys and did this?

I have in the past. The Gen 2 light stays on awhile. Gen 1 Never comes on

Nothing. Every light on the truck lost power. The only light that stayed on what fasten seat belts. I found that odd but the Volt gage was pinned in the red. Even my high beam indicator lights on the dash, the little blue dots, dimmed out and gone.

Yea the old ones fried, i crap my pants when i removed them. I figured they would have swelled up or broke. But they all came out ok. i wish i did this the first time but thats life. I had no idea that the preivious owner butchered the wiring. aua
