Yeah, fixed the squealing. Still starts OK, hope I didn't screw anything up!!!

Yeah, it is tough!! Looks like the long bolt and nuts on the drivers side can be adjusted down to give me more room, but they're rusted up pretty bad. Is this what I need to do to make the tire fit?

When I bought my 1028 it didn't have a spare tire, and the carrier was busted up pretty bad. I bought a wheel and tire from a junk yard, and got new hardware for the carrier. Now I can't get the tire lifted up high enough on the carrier to attach the hardware. The tire doesn't seem to fit...

Got it fixed! Got the replacement plug from Autozone. Went in from the grill, the plug looks a little cheap (China) but everything works as it should. Thx for the help guys[thumbzup]!

I remember reading that some guys were using used motor oil as a fuel"stretcher". I run Rotella T in my 1028 and just changed the oil. Is it OK to put this in the tank and burn it? Will it have any ill effects on my fuel lines and or fuel filter? I'm new to diesels, and could use some advice...

My inner fenders on my 85 M1028 are shot. The drivers side outer fender has some holes it in, but it's not terrible. I've never tried to do any type of body work before. How hard is it to replace the inner fenders? Should I replace the outer fenders at the same time? Thanks for the info.
