Got a new carb and i know this is a rookie question, bu can someone post a pic of how the throttle linkage is configured? I dont want to install it wrong and mess this up.

Got her running good, turned her off to change a brake line, and now she has no power, no headlights, no interior lights nothing at the ignition. The battery is good an fully charged. Its acting the battery is not even installed. Everything is tightened??????/? Where do i start?
Am I correct in believe that in order to bypass the ammeter, you simply take the black and red wire off the back of the gauge and splice them together?

Its been about a year or so ago since the doghead install. I will disconnect it and re-attach the cables. I know im probably answering my own question here but if I disconnect and there in not activity in the starter then it most likely is the doghead?
Ok, replaced the starter yesterday on my m1009. replaced the burnt ground wire from the front negative battery terminal to the body. now when I attempt to re-connect the battery the starter engages. What did I miss? Is the ignition gone bad, the doghead gone bad. Any advise would be deeply...
Ok, I know my starter is bad, but what would cause the 10 gauge wire that goes from the front battery negative battery cable to the body to burn up while starting the truck?:tank:

its a cheapy from walmart, but I bought some square tubing and expanded it and strengthened it up. I bolted through the thickest part of the fiberglass on the topper. So far so good. Its been up there for awhile.
